Thanks Clive glad you enjoyed it. Yeah total bummer about all this rain, its bloody cold rain as well, which will kill the fishing. Winter river fishing is all about making the most of the weather opportunities when they come. Tight lines.

Would you tell everyone?

During extreme sub zero conditions location is a bit hit or miss. I'm guessing your session was around the 16/17th January? Those dates were my most productive this winter on a river not too far from you. On the 16th I had 44 Roach/Chub from two swims in 2 & 1/2 hours with the best Roach going 1lb 4oz and Chub to just a bit bigger. The following session (on a different stream) I had 21 fish in 25 trots made up of Roach, Dace and Grayling. I've since returned to both venues and caught a fraction from the same swims. Great video, I'm halfway through watching all of your work. Although I've heard your name mentioned, I can't believe how we have never met?

The joy of fishing eh? Never two days the same. Think it was on the 21st, had a temperature variation of nearly 15 degrees overnight. What was strange was a had no bites down stream in my usual spots and blanked the following evening night chubbing ( think that's 1st time I've blanked night chubbing) I'm sure our paths will cross someday soon, look forward to it. Tight lines.

Looks a nice spot Paul, can you at least tell us which river?

@@PaulVicaryfishing it's not so much a pool, more off a small pond. Plus it's covered in barbed wire.. Why not sneak through the woods and look at the perch pond near the sailing club...
