How the heck do those turtles get those whole shads into their mouths? I have a RES and she struggles a bit eating a smallish piece of Ahi tuna. Amazing.

Socially birds are so much like humans it’s amazing. When it’s her first clutch usually one stays behind for awhile to make sure mom is gonna be ok after the rest of them have grown up and flown the coop. They all eventually leave home to seek their fame, fortunes, and future mates. That last bird might be back in the soon with a new mate.

Your ponds urgently need more aquatic plants, branches or trees that protrude into the water. Ducks also need reeds or other things where they can hide, your property offers no protection from predators. Your fish also need deadwood or other ways to hide. Your ponds need to become more natural to accommodate more species. My English is not that good because I live in Germany and rarely speak English. I hope you understand what I mean. @@aaronnekrin5150 not at all, captive animals can very quickly readapt to wild life, it happens alot, and even if they imprinted on him, they are young and much like leaving their mother they'll grow out of that phase quickly and become perfectly independant, don't worry about them, they'll be perfectly fine :)

I'm excited for you. I grew up on a series of fishing lakes and holding ponds (kind of a fish farm). It was cool feeding the fish and all the other wildlife that came with the lakes (turtles, ducks etc.etc.).
