    When it says "permission to hunt issued from the landowner" Can you clarify if that means written permission? Not just a verbal OK from some time ago? And is there any expectation of expiry for that permission?

  • @Thehuntsmanshow

    @Thehuntsmanshow

    2 жыл бұрын

    Great questions! I'd 100% be getting a written permission. You never know, a relationship could turn sour and you could easily be thrown under the bus and labled as a poacher. If it came to a dispute I'd imagine the law would side with the property owner most times. Having proof that you were allowed to hunt there would be key to proving innocence. Legally I don't believe you need one, verbal would be OK, but I could be wrong. I'd be reading up on the laws ans legislation of your local state or territory.

    Dim you're an inspiration mate, good on you for getting back at it. Getting on the private property is a tricky one. It usually evolves from years of trust and relationship between hunter and landowner. If you can't get any access you could also try the Farmers Assist program. It's a nation wide initiative that try's to connect hunters with property owners for pest control purposes. Let me know how you go mate and be sure to share some of your new hunting stories and wisdom with us:) - Chris

    For small feral species I think you might be able to leave it. But I'm not 100% sure about that. Tooby, to know for certain you should contact NSW DPI and ask them. They are super friendly and can help you out. If it was anything bigger that I personally wouldn't leave it. You'll just encourage wild dogs with the carcass.

    You can hunt responsibility on any land in Australia that's you own that's large enough (that' s the tricky part) and doesn't endanger the community around you.

    Super easy. You just need to be a member of a approved Club like the Australian Hunters Club (australianhunters.com.au/) that will allow you to get your R-Licence which is an online test via the NSW DPI website. Once you've got that you can hunt on over 2-million hectares of State forest in NSW.

    Hi Charlie, I'm not sure specifically about what previous charges would influence a licence application. I do know however that just because a license application gets knocked back don't mean you can appeal the decision. It just slows down the process and might not eventuate anyway.
