Ойын-сауық

They're Australians just like us, but enjoy such a unique location. I'm fixated on travelling to different countries for the first time, like Japan, but there's something about Tasmania that's making me consider putting those plans on hold and instead just enjoying some time on our beautiful little island, Tasmania.

Compare it to other places in the world where you'll literally die if you stay out in the elements for too long, you don't get that here, not in the cities anyway. Plus we don't get cyclones or major earthquakes so that's also a plus. As for being left off the map, the only time that ever bothered me was the f'ing 2000 Sydney Olympics where on the official literature Tasmania was missing on the map. That was insulting! Have been visiting my best friend in Tasmania since 1967. Never get tired of taking in all the beautiful places all over Tassie. The friendlest people, most caring of the land and heritage places. Wish I had moved there years ago but settled in NSW because of family connections. I still view Tasmania as our best state. ❤

as a Tasmanian who has never left. Don't. stay as far away from this shithole as you POSSIBLY CAN! it has the highest cost of living in all of Australia, it has the worst education system in all of Australia to the point where im in grade 8 and have had ONE sex ed lesson in my ENTIRE LIFE! it has the worst weather in all of Australia, it has the worst internet in all of Australia, it has a booming population, it is spiraling towards a recession rapidly, gun laws are strict enough that the NERF FUCKING RIVAL SERIES WAS BANNED! A FUCKING NERF SERIES! WHAT THE FUCK! it has the stupidest laws in all of Australia to the point where it is illegal to dress up as batman in public because it is "Technically impersonating law enforcement" how tho. I do not fucking understand why so many ppl want to live here. it is horrible, the education system has given me depresion, anxiety, I can barely sleep and it is filled with some of the most toxic little cunts on planet, Telia im fuckin looking at you. Did a fly/drive holiday to Tassie last year 22/23 in peak season and had the best time in a long time. The places - the people - the food - the weather ....... would do it again in a heartbeat! I work in Tourism (Qld) and I can say without hesitation Tassie really knows how to turn Tourism on. With such a short “window” for tourism Tassie really does take full advantage, going over and above to make every experience a great memory.

My wife and I fell in love with Tasmania in 1998 and have returned to visit six, maybe seven times since. We have brought family and friends and all have loved it. I know some of you think these people are nuts but the story of our love for Tassie has a connection to where we live in the States. We live in Albuquerque, NM. New Mexico and like Tassie gets no respect. The state of New Mexico lies between Texas and Arizona. It is part of the United States but try telling that to East Coast snobs. When our daughter went back east to college and told people where she was from they wanted to know the exchange rate for currency!!!! Maps of the United States have been published showing the border of Texas aligning with the eastern border of Arizona. It wasn't until "Breaking Bad" was televised that the rest of the country realized we were a US state. A little exaggeration but not much.

@Physical Removal 😂😂😂 I'm white but you seem to be a bloody racist. If you are a typical Tasmanian I'm far happier spending my money somewhere else. You don't need tourists so I'm sure this isn't a big deal for you guys.

I've lived in Tasmania for decades after moving from Sydney and wouldn't even consider moving back to the 'North Island' now. This is my home and very special to me and my descendants raised here away from the frenzied lifestyle I grew up in up north.
