From what I know about SkyDoesMinecraft. I'll give the abridged version here. He had a son with his then girl friend. At the time he planned on marrying her. Turned out she was abusive which is what lead to the decline in his mental health. Fast forward a bit and he essentially won a game of 5D chess against that girlfriend involving an elaborate plan in tricking a rap artist into contacting her for dirt against sky and then using the video the rap artist made as proof of all the lies his girlfriend had spread about him. And he now has custody of his son. It appears his trying to branch into music, which might be another reason his old "main channel" is suffering. He actually has a seperate channel he uses to upload his music too.

Watching Dantdm’s old mod reviews was such a nostalgia blast, especially when he referenced Dr. Trayaurus in his hardcore series. I also remember popularmmos’ mod challenges with Jen, along with the mob battles. The nostalgia really does hurt

Adam literally raised me. He was my comfort channel. The channel I watched to make me laugh. I watched him from the beginning, back when he was dating Dawn. I remember when I even bought his tube hero, posted it on Instagram, and he liked my post about it. It was one of the best nights ever. I will never forget you, Adam. I remember watching Ssundee as a kid and loving him. When I finally got into one of his servers I was fortunate enough to play against him personally in a survival games match. However after he lost early in the round, he accused everyone in the game of targeting him and literally banned those in the game from his server. This was such a reality check to kid me not to idolize these people because honestly they’re probably a bunch of jerks off the camera.

He still makes videos and his overall style hasn't changed, but his channel never really recovered even after Minecraft became cool again. Honestly, respect for Jerome. When a lot of youtubers left Minecraft, Jerome stuck with it, and kept it alive.

The thing about DanTDM is that he switched quite rapidly over to Roblox during the Minecraft downtime, bringing an audience of children that had no real youtuber at the time, making both parties grow. Like how Ninja and Fortnite influenced eachother.

Honestly watching my heros as a kid fall breaks my heart, I cried when I heard Jen and Pat divorced and when I heard Stampy was going to probably quit KZread

didn't Sky's wife cheat on him with his best friend or something along with custody issues with his child? I swore that was drama that had happened a long while ago......but I'm happy that he's okay now. He was my favorite during my childhood, and i remember that I was lowkey a little hurt when I saw he said he was quitting. That child me still within my heart is happy that he's back and doing well emotionally :)

@@hauntedspaghettios-theythe9545 It was a bad relationship and miss understanding between all of the parties. They clashed and weren't happy. The story is different from each person, but they are happy now. They just had a large disagreement. I wouldn't bash Ross, Max, or Red for moving on. Staying together with Sky would've been bad for their mental health. Breaking off was the best thing for them and they are beyond happy right now.

I still enjoy DanTDM's videos, and it's nice to see that he's branched out into other things, even if Minecraft is the primary reason I subscribed to him. I'm glad he's still doing good. I feel really bad for Sky, and I hope he's doing better now. Mental health's more important then a KZread channel.

I don't feel nostalgic seeing this, probably because I grew up watching portuguese and brazilian youtubers.

I stopped watching youtubers all together in 2016 but it feels wayyyy longer than 4 years the clips at the start of the video it felt like a wind of nostalgia over me.

Seeing this and remembering all these channels hit me like a truck... this community was such a big part of my childhood. thanks for making this video, very nostalgic

Out of all the Minecraft youtubers i think DanTDM is the only won who actually made it out and was happy

I remember watching so many of these youtubers from 2010-2015 or so and so many of them were my childhood. I remember being excited for new videos and just loving all of the content they would all put out such as Stampy's Lovely World or DanTDM's mod reviews ect. I even remember the first series I was ever invested in was the X's Adventures of Minecraft that I've watched since the first episode when Minecraft was very new. It really saddens me seeing the downfall of so many of these legends.

Eh, he tried to do Minecraft Monday with a very sub par newer dev team and it didn’t work well

it seems all of these have one thing in common: they all jumped on the minigame hype to get views and then it turned out differently for each one of them, some of them hopping onto other band wagons to survive purely for the views, fakeness and gains they can get rather then passion or realism

It’s hard to watch this knowing the things now about Sky

While Dan has maintained his overall popularity, I don't feel the same when watching him now when I watched him before. He did do a giant change around 2016 - 2017 were he stopped his ongoing Minecraft Custom Mod adventures series, which was one of the reasons I liked him. I has hope that he may come back to the series, but after a year or so I gave up and unsubscribed. I am happy for how far he has come on the internet, keeping up with the latest trends. It sometimes ticks me off when he claims that his older vids were cringe, but its ok. Time from time, I'll watch his old videos, and remember when I was always anticipating the next one.

This video gave me chills particularly when you talked about Benja, I grew up watching him and seeing his channel fall hurts.

DanTDM voice acts as well as creates KZread videos. I remember being extremely surprised to hear his voice in skylanders.

And what was worse with sky’s situation was that he also seperated from a few of his friends such as Ross, aphmau, barney, mutha and and now he has completely seperated from them. He and Ross even had some sort of argueement on Twitter about events from before he stopped youtube that occurred behind the scenes and well now he is very different than before

That public fight with Ross didn’t need to happen honestly. As far as I know, both parties were just happy to move on and forget the past, but the fans backed them both into a corner, and they were kinda forced to duke it out. A lot of Adams fans are too tied his past, which is a shame because he clearly wants to move on, which I’m in support of. That said, for my own reasons, I hope he still has SOME ties to Jess, even though she’s torched what made her special

@@Charlie-hv3dh A few months ago, Adam made a video looking over his past videos, in which had featured some stuff he did with Ross back in the day. He made a small remark about how they’d gone their own ways, and that Ross didn’t wanna work with him anymore, but Adam said he would be open to it if Ross was. This caused their fans to harass Ross on Twitter and question him about it. It turned into a fight about how bad some things went at Sky Media for both parties and it’s basically resulted in Ross wanting nothing to do with Adam, possibly even resenting him. Remember though, Adam didn’t start the fight, Ross didn’t start the fight, it was their fans that made them duke it out. Fans of, not just KZreadrs, but everything in this world believe themselves to be entitled, and that if they want something, then whoever creates should give. No one will admit it, but that’s the truth, and sometimes said creators buckle and bend over, and when they do, it’s usually not very well done....

Watching this video made me remember one certain Minecraft KZreadr that showcases mods, most of the times arena challenges with modded mobs and stuff I watched that channel, and loved it, of course he has a girlfriend, and his signature soldier-like Minecraft skin I forgot the name ultimately, but that time, I checked his channel out in 2019 (I think), he instantly changed from Minecraft content to generic clickbait content like Toasty But worse, as I can see that his Minecraft videos no longer resurface from his channel's front page, which is sad I don't know how he's doing now, as all I can remember is that one time, my childhood falls apart immediately when I saw it I miss everything man.. I'm glad I was hooked with Minecraft in the past, and shaped the person who I am now..

Halfway through his growth he just backhanded all of his loyal fans in the face and fully embraced the five year old demographic, he completely sold out.
