More of a stevey wonder guy myself but it's more about what ever gets you pumped man and I play guitar so wen you do that with flight ✈ of the bumble bee 🐝 every one puts there instruments down and gives you a dirty look to were you looked happy 😊 man thats the point 👉 raw man
As a guitar center employee who works in the keyboard department, it's the absolute most refreshing, relieving, and calming thing to hear some really good live music doing a crappy day, and I LOVE all of you professional musicians that make my day♥️

Yeah I used to work at guitar center in guitars and most people would walk to the piano section and just make a ton of senseless noise, and it never bothered me but I’m sure that could get annoying for others especially if it’s your department 😂.
@dramaticdrummer0397

The percussive way that he plays makes it sound like he’s quantized! Love it!!
I don't know why, this reminds me of 'I Don't Wanna Be A Billionaire' by Theo Katzman
@benjaminman591

It reminds me a little of Billy Joel, back when his music was cool. edit: Listened to that song. You're right, somewhat similar sounding.

More because of the chords, but rhythm wise it's completely different. Both are really good songs though :)

Oh baby this is the most Vulfpeck thing that isn’t actually Vulfpeck
when you realize the tapping sound WAS HIS FOOT?! literally thought it was a metronome.
@TheHadMatters
2 жыл бұрын
I know you're paying him a compliment and I agree and all, but if that sounds like a metronome to you, you need to upgrade your KZread audio experience. Decent in-ears can be found for 20 bucks, and decent speakers for 30-40. (I wouldn't bother with over-ear headphones for less than 80)
@jochem420

i think theyre just referring to how spot on it was, you dont need a proper headphone to just watch some videos lol
Ray Thistlethwaite - guy is relentless. Left hand of god. Absolute rhythm unit.

He has a gift of being percussive in comping chords. It's insanely amazing. It's like I'm hearing the drums and guitar through his playing.

Rai Thisistheway
I find it funny how Rai is just this dude playing AMAZING funk music with some of the biggest musicians in the funk scene and no one says anything about him writing some of the biggest most loved Australian rock classics of all time in the early 2000's. I had a work colleague who was a blues artist that would play with him a lot and I got to see him playing with Thirsty Merc not that long ago and it was literally one of the best performed rock concerts I've seen from Good Charlotte to Sum 41. Just incredible musicians.
The store : "No Stairway To Heaven" This guy : hold my beer
The way the chords move from one to the next is beyond graceful... As a guitar player mostly stuck playing in the same scale I can't hold myself back from being somwhat envious
I love rays playing so much. Absolutely incredible musician.
Omg. Superb playing. Please do more of such guitar style playing on the keys. So cooool
i just realized this guy (rai thistlethwayte) is also the same guy who sings san francisco street (sun rai)! what a talented dude
Rai is a hidden gem... One of my Fav's... I love everything he does,... thanks for posting.

Absolute pleasure and life. Thx so much from France 🇫🇷
Absolutely incredible
this is so impressive!! love it
This is sick, I love Rai. I'm always impressed he has PERFECT rhythm
Idk which is better, the playing or the sheet music 🎶...🎶 That groove was on point! 🔥
That’s damn crisp. Love it.
Super vulfpeck-y! Great🔥
Wow that was really good so groovy 🔥

ok but that snap was actually clean af sheeeeesh
Excellent Job 🎶
Amazing!
Thanks so much for doing all these great transcriptions. One thing that caught my eye and ear right away is that at 0:56 (m.29), it should be B/E, not Bm/E (Emaj7sus2 could work too).

What's new? Brilliant arrangement and interpretation. I look forward to more videos. Have a happy day. Greetings from Germany, Hannes 🥁🎸🎤
Made my day! 😊
Love this 👍👍👍👍
Wow! Very cool!
Awesome. 🤩😍
Bro!! I have trying to transcribe it. Thank you so much. Cheers:)
I fuckin LOVE RAI THISTLETHWAYTE
BRO what a lvl! ur insane!
Bro the key is impressive too!
Feels good. 😌 Notice the SV-1 above him 👏🏼🎶🔥😎
Wikipedia definition for Funky: Rai Thistlewayte! That's some solo time and feel there.
the chord progressions are nice🤗
It's Rai! Living legend
This feels like some shit you'd hear in Mario
Really nice n funky!! Love it. Erik the Netherlands
Rai is the king of ghost notes!
I bet whoever wrote F double sharp rather than G on that sheet music feels real clever
@maxm745
2 жыл бұрын
It's more correct though if you get technical with it
@ejb7969
2 жыл бұрын
F double-sharp is actually easier if you're musically knowledgeable, since G-natural has no place in a G-sharp scale. But how the hell do you improvise in 5 SHARPS anyway? If you play in 5-sharp land, you gotta speak the language!
@chester6343
2 жыл бұрын
@@ejb7969 exactly, Rai must be very well versed in music theory at this point
@lupash
2 жыл бұрын
If you study theory, harmonic functions and practice enough till it partly becomes instinctively muscular it’s easier to improvise in B or F# major than actually write it down on the sheet
dis is fresh.
Fenomeno.
That was groovy! 😎
I’d love to hear this with a grand piano sound 😵😍
coolest guy
Nice!
incredible transcriptions my guy 🔥
Holy that’s good
For those who didn’t know, this is Rai Thistlethwayte 😊
Good song brosn
Hey thank you so much for this transcription! I don’t want to be that guy and I apologize if someone else already said this but I think bar 32 should be a bar of 6. He holds that note out for 4.5 not 2.5 as you have it. Thanks again!
very cool
I tried not to have 'stank' face; but I couldn't stop it. Sick playing.
Ray is the goat 🐐
Your guitar center has way more keyboards in stock than mine does right now...
That groooooove!
Amazing!!! Please do Chase the Clouds!!!

damn thats talent

Damn!
Oh thats ray thistlethwaite
I hear Yellowjackets circa early 90s. Nice jam dude.
Fantastico
Nice
This is Rai and he’s always playing okay lol
0:39 owwn nice!
I think of that "F#/B/D#" as a Bmaj7add2/D#. It just seems like the conventional Badd2/D# voicing but with that crunchy major seventh tucked in.
Bars 25-30 My favourite part.
Rai! Baby!! I hate to tell you peeps, his time feels has always been that good ;-) Terrifying....

I know right? Would you happen to know why there is a C natural (#4) in that scale he plays? I’m having trouble understanding what is happening from a theory standpoint.
I hate guys like this. So friggin talented. I can’t imagine how much joy this brings to guitar Center employees. And to us you get to listen. I still hate him.
what sound/instrument is that? it's super cool
What genre of music would this go into? Love it
I was like he looks like Sun Rai 😂😂 and it was him haha he crazy on the keys
Damn, what an absolute way to flex
Damnnnnnnn. This gave me stank face. Dis nastyyyyyyy 🔥🔥💣💣
I go to gc all the time to play the stage 3 like this because I know I can't afford it! It's the greatest keyboard in existence!
This gives me mad Pilot Wings 64 vibes
Sick! What was the upper sound?
as soon as the video started I thought 'hey that looks like the guy from Thirsty Merc' and then I read the caption and WHAT
