Eight and ten are hard. Make it soft to get through it. Stay focused too.
That's a great exercise! I tried it with a Buescher mellophone made in 1925 or so. Sounds a little different but the concept is fantastique!
Oooo. I never thought of this which is strange because this is so much like a yogic breathing exercise I used to do. Can't wait to do this!!

I tried playing the flute; felt it harder than guitar or piano, but guess patience can get one through the curve! Thanks for this good tip.

that is a great diaphragm exercise, kind of like box breathing except you increase over time

Breathing through your nose while playing is called circular breathing. If you can do it, it becomes very useful.

@@SWilla00946 I know circular breathing, but I thought it was not possible for flute, as both flux go in opposite directions and we can't close our mouth like trumpetists for example...
