That’s why, if u watched enough episodes of hello counselor with couple problems and where the man is at fault, they always have that sick logic “she already married me, she already has my child, she can’t leave me” it’s so annoying

IF my husband said on National TV he saw me as his sister. It's OVER! My life is too precious to be wasted away with a man who doesn't desire me or love me. This lady needs to move on IF her husband doesn't start treating her like a precious wife.

You are right. We don't know what happens behind closed doors in a marriage. They are on this show & she opened up her Marriage & struggles & I'm just making a comment what I would do. I'm just saying why stay in a marriage even if there are children involved when he has zero Respect for you as a woman & a wife. He said He saw her as a sister! My opinion is not based just on people I saw on tv, I am talking about real cases (relative, friends having husbands that changed completely after marriage, showing their true themselves when the contract was already signed). What I’ve learned so far about Korean marriage is, that the biggest problem lies in shaming women if they get divorced. This might be the reason why some Korean men sometimes change suddenly after the marriage. They’re like gentlemen until they got the woman the want into a marriage. Because they know that their wives wouldn’t easily ask for divorce (especially with kids), they suddenly show their true face and the women are trapped. Like Kyungho and her friend said. Other countries see divorces completely different, for some it‘s even normal that every 2nd or 3rd marriage ends like that and you go looking for someone else.

oh come on, give him a break. she made him look worse than he actually is negleccting to mention that he actually works 17 hours a day and is stressed out to hell. Yeah he says some and does some insensitive things but he's superman honestly, working 17 hours a day 7 days a week. I used to work 16 hours 5 days a week and when I came home I'd be so exhausted I don't want anyone touching me either.

Sparkles in the midnight while i agree he is insensitive and borderline hurtful, there is an argument to be made that we are living in a duel income economy and that rather than force affection from him at 3 in the morning she should get off her ass and get a job so that her husband doesn't have to work as much and would have the energy she so desires. She is not blameless either imo. He may be saying those things out of a subconscious resentment he has for her. Second, I really think you underestimate just how hard he works. Ever gone on a road trip with someone? After a few hours you get tired and switch drivers right? Imagine going on a road trip by yourself everyday for 17 hours. Only someone who has worked like that can ever understand the kind of stress that produces. It can someone incredibly irritable.

@Gray Kin Please don't look down on a whole gender. Also, other concerns on the show of men expecting the woman to work many jobs too and the men don't care or the men have issues with working/parenting mother not giving them affection. So both genders have the same issues with communication and understanding. Anyways, I completely agree with your other points. This man is overworked and stress, if she had a job it would have been said. His mental health is prob not good he works for too long and maybe he's so stressed he doesn't wanna do skinship. He's not a horrible person, in fact, it seems like he works extremely hard for the family. A real solution could be her getting a part-time job (her kid is in school and she only has one) but no one is thinking about how stressed he is. Shame on the commenter and the wife for not considering his stress too. It takes two in order to fix issues, I don't think this woman is considering him.

I wish Yeonja too one day will find someone who will adore her just like the amazing, funny, caring and wise woman she is!😁 It always break my heart when she is being teased too much or when she speaks like it's something that is impossible for her... I wish she find an admirable person just like her !😀

In Korea although she is seen as a gag or the jokes of the show, trust me many have admired her due to her smart, witty sense of humour! This year is definitely her year! I read many articles where she is being praised heaps for her humour capabilities and it’s great to see :) Trust me I’m sure many will realise how great of a woman she is!

You are right in some things but it seems she doesn’t care. She probably doesn’t want a divorce and is willing to stay with him. Sometimes we have to take the hints the other person is giving us. She’s being just as bad as him.

I'm not very far in, but it sounds like he liked dating her for the physical side of the relationship and they got married bc she got pregnant, but he clearly wasn't interested in her for a long term relationship.

I think the wife is understanding enough that she doesn't bring up about looking after their child on her own as her husband works long hours. this statement is a clear indication that you have either never worked your ass off that hard or you have never had sex. sex requires quite a bit of stamina and energy especially from the male's end. There's no way you'd want sex after working 17 hours a day 7 days a week. you'd just want to eat and sleep. I used to work 16 hours a day 5 days a week, my bf knows I would cut his thing off if he even tried to come on to me in the middle of my work week.

Affection doesn't always mean sex I was referring to simple actions like being genuinely nice to her, greeting her when he comes home from work, or whatever to increase affection/maintain a healthy relationship at least. hayatochan korean is well known to over worked them selves coz of financial issues. My boyfriend also works as a chauffeur, well he works in a car company in the morning start from 7 until 9 at night, he then works as a chauffeur until 12 or 1 am. A lot of chauffeurs work even harder, just like the man in this eps. And this job is not easy at all, as my bf does, he drives to certain place, waiting for drunk ppl to call, then he takes the customer home using customers' car ofc, then he needs to take bus/ train to go back. My other friend works at the club as a bartender until 4/5 in the morning. So yeah, i dun say that the husband is "normal" but it is true that ppl in south korea work that much.

Honestly, they need real counseling. If the counselling doesn't work, she should divorce him. He sees her as his sister. That's a hard place to come back from mentally and emotionally. On top of that. he seems to value his own thoughts and feelings above his wife. She seems to genuinely love him, and he doesn't even treat her like someone he genuinely loves. He's gonna be screwed if she ever falls out of love with him. She knows she's a catch, and there are other dudes in the world who know it, too.

Not necessarily. I've cheated on a bf when i was young and dumb, and I've also been married and been cheated on. Don't ever cheat...you feel guilty, and are mean to the innocent partner because you feel like poo. You also don't want to have physical contact with them. That can be a combination of guilt, or that you are not attracted to them. He totally seems like he cheated to me. He is also possibly resentful that he is the only one working, they are broke...and she is trying to trap him into having another kid. She seems like she is living in dreamland. They have no money, and relationship problems...will another child make that better?

I seriously hate the gut of this guy! How can he say she's being immature when she's just being honest in what she felt. At first i thought there must be a reasonable reason but all his reasons are totally nonsense. Tsk. What does he think he is? wasting his amazing wife's efforts! But he got a point on finance tho, it's a problem that is always present.

They should get divorced. He doesn't love her and she deserves to be loved. But they have a child. I feel bad for her.

Sometimes I'm really insecure about myself because in standards I couldn't pass as pretty but hearing this story it seems that my prejudice about beautiful women having to get a nicer man for themselves were wrong. We really don't know what will happen in someone's life. No matter how perfect a relationship might be during dating years anything could actually go wrong on marriages. It's kind of scary, yeah, but life's life. We gotta deal with it.

When he said he thought of her as a sister.that would of been it for me.I think he fell hard for her but they had a child and it fizzled.

It's not immature to want affection from your spouse...if I was her, I would have had a talk with him and ask in all seriousness if I looked unattractive and have a sisterly feelings in his eyes, and if he replied yes then I would have asked for a divorce. Because she married him as a husband not as a brother. And it doesn't matter where he is from, being affectionate, even if it is as simple as a kiss on the cheek or holding hands, is part of a healthy, normal marriage. I hope everything went well for her after this show and her marriage is better, for the sake of herself as a woman and mother and of their child.

i can relate him with my bf. he was so lovey to me a year ago. but now he has changed and it hurts me. so i cant see him as my future husband by treating me nicely...somehow i feel her. i cried while watching this.

I can relate to that a bit. My boyfriend and me have been dating for 4 years. We had ups and downs in the relationship, sometimes I got really insecure about it. The best advise I can give is to talk about everything. Your expectations, his expectations your plans for the future etc. And honestly don't settle for less. I am not talking about small, unimportant parts. You can always compromise on that. But don't compromise on things that are really important to you. Don't stay in a relationship that makes you unhappy. No relationship is perfect, relationships are hard work and you need to communicate. But some just don't work out. Not because someone is mean, or abusive or controlling but because the people in the relationship are just not expecting and wanting the same in and from the relationship. Sorry for the long text. I hope you will be happier soon.

Moomoo thanks for ur concerned! even 'till now i tried everything i can to make things better..but he seems like have lost interest at me. how dissapointed..nowadays he refused to have long conversations either on phone or chats. he dissapoints me tooooo much since the day i got to know him. but i chose to be considerate to him. my friends pursued me to leave him since then. i guess i am way too stubborn to do it. i love him so much but he had change...and now i have decided to permanently leave him. he had hurts me alot...i suffered for more than one year(i cant believe that woman on the vid can stand that whole 6+ years) my bf doesnt know how to appreciate me properly. he said that i have never understand me but the fact is, he is the one who have never understand me...

what even yeah yeah i know that normal girl will definitely leave that kind of guy. i ever asked to my friends and their answers are same as yours 😊. i know i made the wronged decision by trying hard to hold on the relationship. Even to me to, this isnt a true love at all haha..but i'm the type that will truely love a guy and hardly turn back. it's my mistake after all right hahaha..i've thought once again about leaving him, im going to do it before the mid of May coming. Wish me luck and leaving him without tears haha!

Sadly, I thought the same thing.

"I will be affectionate that you will never crave for it again." wtf that sounded more like a threat to her. I seriously hope he was gentle to her that night if they ever ended up doing it. You dont have to immediately do it if you havent even touched her for god knows how long already. Start over with the basic steps like hugging her affectionately or holding hands again will be a good startover. But personally I think something happened between the married couple that affected the trust of either one of them and probably made the husband suspicious or something. They should seriously sit down and talk it out because there is still hope to get this marriage fixed again. Their problem doesnt seem to be that serious yet like other stories involving alcoholic abuse etc. Though it would be also the most saddest thing ever if his real reason was because he was simply bored of her as a wife and looked at her as a sister, or like another fish in a tank. Watching marriage maelstrom stories like this always gives me a good strong reminder to never think of marrying someone for looks only.

everyone is stressed in life...you can either push away the people closest to you or let them be there to support you. skinship literally makes people feel happier, comforted, less stressed. we're biologically made to want affection and comfort. i think he's taking it the wrong way by thinking touching, or even emotionally being there for his wife and letting her be there for him, is a burden.

@22:00 that dude knows what's up. it IS a concern... sometimes this show has such over-simplified "resolutions." we all know this problem wasn't solved. his heart isnt with her.

i think he's on this show for some reason but i'm 99% sure he doesn't want to make it up to his wife . this big issue can't be fixed overnight

Every relationship needs maintenance and constant effort. Most of the things you see in romantic movies are not true in real life. I also had illusions about relationships but now I see them in different light. The same thing goes for marriages too. I think you need to know your partner really well and it's best if you went through a lot together (good and bad situations), but even then it's not an indicator of a successful marriage. Both partners should strive to have a great marriage but if it's just one sided than, I would say, the marriage is doomed. I think a lot of people have illusions about relationships and marriage, and they end up disappointed, it's not what they have imagined and the reality becomes tough for them.

...you've seen first hand of a marriage like your parents'. Are their marriage sweet or sweet with ups and downs or something else? If you are of a single parent then that should be clear that marriages/relationships ain't all rosy.

He is probably cheating,gay or both. I mean people want affection from their spouses no matter how hard they work. She seems like a nice girl, she so does not deserve this.

He doesn't love her anymore. Period.

He works from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. thats 17 hours ,he works 17 hours to support her and their child, he doesnt want another child because she had premature labor and was in the hospital for 2 months he is scared for her and because of finance situation, he comes home after 3 a.m. and sleeps to 9 a.m. thats like 4-5 hours of sleep depends on when he is home from work and people in the comment section say that she should leave him because he isnt showing affection to her. He may not show affection but he is showing true love of a man to his woman and child by working 17 hours a day paying the loan, the bills, the rent putting food on the table and securing the future of their child, he is sacrificing alot of his time on work for his family other guys at hs age are just going out and drinking but this guy is true alpha male nothing but respect. 👌👍👏👏👊👊✊✊

That's not a good enough excuse. Are you telling me he's too tired to even say a kind word to his wife or even give her a small peak on the lips. How much energy does it take to do that?? She said she doesn't even remember the last time they held hands...Are you fr??
