He seems like a really nice person. People shouldn’t bash his looks because he already has a low self esteem. Judging his looks will only make him get more treatments done. I think he just needs better friends that will support him. I don’t care that he gets treatments done, he just gets too much done and it’s interfering with his work. I honestly feel really bad for him because having a low self esteem sucks honestly.

@Bleacheu well, my husband is korean and I live in Korea and of course, certain jobs will require people to have certain looks. That happens everywhere. Korea its super competitive and believe me, if you dont have skills or the skin to deal with 12 hours plus jobs, you won't make it, period.

@Bleacheu it happens that's a fact but not every company works like that and that's what I was trying to say. Skills matter a lot too, for Korea productivity is the essence of every company. The person can be physically pretty but if it doesnt work well, it will get fired right away.

Don’t just say there are companies who doesn’t care about looks, you need to look at the percentage of companies who do consider looks important. @@barrylilt nobody said otherwise bro 😂 companies around the world do that especially asian companies in which they ask people to put their pictures in their resume. For example, China likes to do that a lot. But with that being said, not all the companies are like that, Asian companies are really competitive and need hardworking employees, if you can't keep with the rhythm, you can't work. So it doesn't matter if you are pretty, if you can't give a good service, you're not a reliable product, is not that difficult to comprehend. 😂

When you have a proper physiologist on the cast it changes an opinion and veiw at least with the cast its with them trying to look and adguts from a personal view physiologists don't really do that they look at mantal points and I have had many physiologists and only one looked at me like human veiw

I don't think people seem to understand. Everyone's telling him to make his health his priority. But do you think, as a dermatologist/counsellor, he doesn't know that he is putting his health at risk? Like, he probably has a medical degree, duhh. He KNOWS. But the experiences he had as a child must have traumatized him. Those comments that made him insecure about himself, went deep into his heart. Real deep. It must be to a point where he knows all those frequent treatments are bad for him, but still feels as if he deserves to be tormented in that way. Simply because he never "was" good enough. So now, even if he knows that he looks good, and that he shouldn't be so harsh on himself, he can't help it. It must be emotionally staggering for him. I can't imagine how much he must have hated himself growing up. God knows for how long he's been dealing with such a low self-esteem. You may disagree with me, but what I believe will be the most effective treatment for both his body and soul, would be someone who truly cherishes him, and is also loved by him. If you think about it, the emotional scarring he got as a child lies deep in his heart, right? Just look at him get emotional when it's mentioned. So it only makes sense, well at least for me, to have someone as intimate to get just as deep in his heart, and heal him from within. If he's constantly feeling loved for who he is, and that looks don't necessarily define how beautiful of a person he is, it may be the biggest of help. I mean, who would want to risk their health when they know that it hurts and worries the person they love the most? Sometimes you do things for others that you wouldn't do for yourself. However, until he finds that someone, or even maybe some people, I don't think that being complimented or warned by strangers would change that much for him. I truly hope that someday, soon enough, he will realize he doesn't have to be so harsh on himself. If you're reading this and you relate to him, I truly wish that you remember you're beautiful just as you are. Best wishes. And thank you reading until the end.

imo he needs to go to therapy, if he has medical degree, he knows this better than anyone else, im pretty sure every person who has medical degree has gone through 'psychiatry' department n posting, not sure how it works in Korea though, he should have known that he has huge self esteem n insecurity issue, thats his main problem

The fact that the actual translation about the comment in his skin was not even "what's wrong with your skin?" But "why does your skin look dirty?" Says a lot.

"Everyone has different standards of beauty." Then why are you telling people they need to change THEIR faces? What if they're perfectly fine with how they look? I mean, after all, EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT STANDARDS OF BEAUTY! Damn, telling people to get plastic surgery because you deem them unfit in your eyes is just plain rude and wrong. This dude needs some serious help. With the amount of treatments and who knows what else he's getting, it surely can't be healthy.

I've definitely had times where I get self conscious about my face or body, but this guy is taking it to a whole new level. It's trauma, and that's exactly why he needs to get help. He might have body dysmorphic disorder, which shouldn't be taken lightly. It's affecting his work, his financial stability, and the people around him. Getting 3-4 shots a week of whatever he's taking is likely unsafe. People are worried for him, and I hope he gets the support and help he actually needs.

Bleacheu No it shouldn’t. You can’t address childhood trauma unless you are healthy and say not fighting autoimmune disorders. Of course he hmmmm the underlying problem needs to be addressed but health is also quite important.

Concerns about looks always start with someone calling another disgusting names. I feel bad for what he got call by and it was by his relatives

To be honest, the director needs a therapist. To be honest, he's cute & seems super nice and his smile is what caught my eye about him first. But, I feel like he needs a couple friends that will boost his self confidence. But, he looked so upset and looked like he just wanted to breakdown and cry, but he kept a smile on his face. But, I wish I was there to at least hug him and try to help out a little bit.

His concern are very understandable, I hope this guy will get a professional help regarding his self esteem and the feeling of always not enough. His reason beneath all the treatment is because he is traumatized at young age and the people around him are not helping too. You won't understand it until you face it yourself, he seems like a decent guy. I just hope he will change his attitude of skipping work and won't be troubling his co-workers plus love himself more. To the people who said the person who send the concern is more handsome and stuff you're not helping by judging them, you can just say he looks good. But since you wanted to judge and become the reason why a person like this guy exist, go off. Say something nice or just shut up.

I really wonder how these peoples lives play out after the show , lol like did dude get fired for putting the director on blast ? Some of these concerns are deep, they need Updates to these things.

Honestly the first thing that came to my mind was: 'He probably has low self esteem..he was bullied for his looks.' Because if you've been around korean culture for a while you know how importand is beauty for them. This is a concern because of the people around him he's gonna ruin his life. Getting so much treatments is not good for his skin- quite opposite. But I understand how he feels. I'm just like him. But I wouldn't spend money for something that would do worse than better for my skin. I hope he'll find someone who will help him gain self esteem. It can he the guy who sent the concern. I grew up being insulted as ugly. And my mom's friends made an insensitive comparison choosing my brother's look over me. But today, I feel good, I hope I look good- by proper grooming.. no needles touch my skin (other than for medical purposes such as vaccinations) and never intended to have one (no BOTOX, no plastic surgery). I'm happy with what I'm blessed with and am ultra contented with my life. Truth is, beauty is from within.. our character makes us beautiful. Being hygienic and properly groomed is also part of good character and discipline. There's no need to go extreme to look good. Looking good doesn't guarantee great personality but having a great personality can lead to looking good.

I don't know, whenever I hear the director speak, I feel sad and concerned for him. He has this aura that makes me want to care for him and make him feel like he has someone by his side, for just the looks of it, he seemed like he has some kind of trauma or that kind of problem stemming from his childhood. I also feel the same way about my looks, where people criticized me and often teased or bullied me about it. Making me want to change myself. I tried but I still wasn't good enough. So hearing him makes me feel like I understand him and I hope he feels better about himself. It isn't healthy to have that kind of mindset on himself.

Plastic surgery and treatments can become an addiction. It results mainly from being too conscious and wanting approval from others for his looks. He needs psychological intervention.
