Totally agree and also means you are just watching and not impinging on them which is not always possible but so much better when you can do that. Great video

Nicely done especially the hummingbird. I’ve heard that kingfisher rattle many times and only been able to get a handful of decent shots. Hope you enjoyed Canada.

Cool, thanks. Yeah it’s proving difficult but I’ve managed a few more shots of the kingy in flight but no perched shots yet! Will try my kingfisher spot again this week! Wish me luck 😂👍

You're going to love our spring migration when 3 quarters of the North American bird species come to us here in Ontario and Québec! Every day it's something new in the woods and wetlands😂 Stunning inspiring filming! I still new to this... I jumped from a Canon PowerShot to the Sony a7r5 with a 200-600mm, still learning how to use it properly 😅, but your videos inspire me as to what pro gear and knowledge can do!

Absolutely, it’s really hard starting again in a new country. I’m so lucky at home with access, knowledge of subjects the rules of the land etc. But starting fresh in a big country has taken quite a bit of effort but I love a challenge and the people here have been so helpful and friendly. Canadian birders, photographers and naturalists have all helped massively. Thanks again for asking👍💪🏻

What experience to film & see your first hummingbird!! And also to get some behaviour footage ! How you caught that on film 🎥 with them being so small !! Class post as always take care 👍👍

Great video, love the footage and super sharp shots, I especially liked the heron! How do you find the 200-400 1.4x? I was split between getting one second hand vs the RF 100-500mm for my R7, does it work well on RF bodies?

Thanks very much for watching and I'm really glad you liked the video. The R7 is my go-to lens and the optics are amazing and at f7.1 it produces so really good DOF and the bokeh is pretty darn good for f7.1. But the 2-4 is an awesome lens and is great to have that zoom range and with the 1.4 ext engaged is a real bonus and at f5.6 it's much better when the light fades. Thanks Rich 👍
