Hi Biffa, I basically started playing cities skylines because I watched your videos. So, thank you for introducing me to the game! That being said; I just wanted to note that you'd never see a windmill near a satellite dish, since it sort of defeats the point of putting it (a giant dish that costs millions) on a a high mountain far away from any sources of interference (presumably because they're interested in having very 'clean' and highly accurate spectra). The rotating blades will reflect and scramble electromagnetic signals. I believe this can be significant enough to interfere even with cell phone coverage. I'd be much more realistic if the windmill is further down the mountain. or better yet: put in the powerlines, it'd make a lot of sense to have a dedicated high voltage line to such a facility to power the engines that move the dish for instance.

18:32 IRL you'd see the road gradually climb up to the top in a spiral around the peak. 12% is usually a high incline, but acceptable. 35 is insane. Nobody in their right mind would build a road like that. 23:23 if it's got only one outside connection that's still a cul-de-sac. A pretty large one but a cul-de-sac nonetheless

Your Sloppy Slope road sort of looks like Pike’s Peak in the Rockies at Colorado. It is a nice stretch of curvy road folks climb race with their vehicles. At places it has some nice falls for your car to go downhill if you miss a turn, but overall the view on it is breathtaking (or may be the 15k ft altitude…). Roads aside, up at the Chilean mountains they have their Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST). Yours could be named “Large Tea Survey Telescope (LTST)”.

Awesome video. Appreciate the humor! I assume the government would give tax relief or exemptions for the residents near the launch site, or the company would pay them or something, maybe buy them vacation tickets on the day of a launch. Also, for the water pipes on top of the mountain, they'd probably cut through because the land will not be used for anything.

In my opinion a cable car to the telescope would be nice. In switzerland you often see some cable car just to go to a dedicated spot on a mountain. Sometimes even just for transporting goods. Sadly there is no "small" cable car in cities skylines... Or maybe you could turn the road to the top into a gravel one. Concrete to the top on such a outlying point doesn't seem too realistic to me. But still: nice work :D

There's a brilliant metal sliding gate and associated fence on the workshop that marries up perfectly with the prison fence and gatehouses to create a sort of official entrance. Some suggestions: The pass up to the satellite dish could use some barriers on the steeper drop off sections to help prevent cars from "driving off the side", a path under the rail & highway from Pearl Hills to the rocket launch site, the two sections of Pearl Hills is connected by a national road - no pedestrian access from one side to the other, the wind turbine ay Pearl Hills was used initially only to power the toll gate - no longer needed plus at 3 Megawatts, it's inefficient and expensive.

About the mountain road. If you would have used the round dotted thingy on the road thingy instead of keep it on the ground there would have been bridges and tunnels to smooth out stuff. That's the way you do in reality. Specially the bend at about 16.22 would have been built like a bridge. The keep the road on the ground usually screw things up in my opinion. Using the vanilla one would keep you from having to smooth things out all the time when there is a bit of terrain. That makes it look way more realistic.

The sleepy little community is all the scientist and other workers on launch site. A small town build specifically to house them near their workplace and keep them somewhat separate from the rest of the island for security reasons

The reaidential district next to the launch site, should be called "Boca Teaka", after the "Boca Chica" area next to the SpaceX Launch site 😊

Please use S bends on the final accent to the Sateallite Dish. It needs switchbacks, the gradient is too hectic.

The Pearl Hills community off-ramp heading towards the JTK Rocketry Complex was made asymmetrical instead of a two lane off-ramp road at 3:51.

All those national roads will stop people walking round to the space centre and the commercial zone, likewise also between the two residential areas and the small road which connects them to the aquarium island.

I live in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains Biffa an that's exactly how the highways look when you drive through. Sheer drop off on one side and straight up vertical on the other. It's pretty but kind of scary.

You have placed a gate on the main highway to shut down traffic in the event of a launch. Right beside the highway bridge is a secondary road bridge (28:17) that people can use to get onto the highway. Eventually you will need on on the other side of the island once you start build on the island next to this one.

Hey biffa, the city is coming along grand mate. I think you should put the telescope up on the hill with the deep space radar, that would set that wee area up lovely mate. Best wishes pal.

26:24 F the bus loop, you're on the waterfront, how can you not consider adding a ferry terminal? You can use a ferry to get around the Cape, bypassing the Highway, and connect to the wider map as well!

Hey Biffa! First of all, your videos are very entertaining and I really enjoy watching you. Keep up the good work! I have one request, if you could use your reach for a good cause ^^ I would like to play Cities Skylines again, but the game doesn't support my monitor resolution, so the Cities Skylines is very blurry and therefore not a nice gaming experience.... The resolution we are talking about is: 5120x1440 (32:9 format). It would be great if someone in your community could write a mod for this, so that the game can show its beauty in this resolution. I would be very happy, best regards!

12:10 Would have the deep dish radar that far away? The first moon landing the radar was in Parkes, Australia, sending the messages back to the U.S and to everyones T.V. The radar was on the opposite side of the world. Your radar will have to be within your city. It can't be too far away.

put a nice little camp around the lake up by the radar dish, maybe a couple of houses for the Rader operators as well

4:07 you just need 2 lane road there not asymetrical, since it is highway. 5:14 i would change the lanes without this separate turning road to straight on and right one lane and left turn separate, just to avoid crossing traffic blocking up the junction. 25:50 The bus route loops after it passes the rocket launch site, so it is kinda long route for them to drive over there. You either will need a CW and CCW route or maybe add separate line.

Hey Biffa 😊 a) people can't walk to the new ferry terminal and b) you can probably download ferry assets that aren't quite so big, especially since the vanilla ferries hold a pathetically small amount of people
