When Usain Bolt crashed into a flower girl in Oslo in 2012 - Flashback

An eight time Olympic champion and 11 time World Champion, Usain Bolt is undoubtedly the greatest sprinter, and arguably the greatest sportsman of the modern era.
Like all the world's top athletes, Bolt was a regular fixture on the Wanda Diamond League circuit from 2010-2017, and his biggest success in the competition came in 2012, when he blasted away the competition to claim the Diamond Trophy in the 100m.
On the way to his title was a particularly memorable race in Oslo, when Bolt, lining up against the likes of compatriot Asafa Powell, clocked 9.79 to take a typically comfortable victory. But it was what happened next that stayed in the memory.
Slowing down into the bend, the Jamaican didn't see the approaching flower girl until it was too late, and crashed headlong into the unsuspecting Norwegian. To his credit, he managed to keep the woman from falling to the track, hauling her to her feet before gratefully receiving the flowers.

love yeri for better skin it’s no one’s fault. Bolt was looking up and the flower girls are supposed to give the winner a bouquet. If you really want to point fingers it leans more to Bolt, he should’ve known flower girls were coming after many races and he was looking up. But it was an accident and I’d rather leave it as no one is to blame.

You can see this clearly when a china sprinter got 1st place when competing with the Italian in semi final, and didn't even get bronze during the final...

@@evang6703 mhmm, Idk man, I've seen some very good arguments that one of the biggest advantages for Bolt is his size, since his takeoff isn't that great but he really picks up speed in the upright part. I'd say being taller is still better if you know how to use it.

@Emad Ahmed I think it's moreso that some peoples reaction is to save themselves from harm first so they'd have let go of the girl to prevent themselves from falling, while others (like Usain Bolt) will try to protect others from harm first even at the cost of potentially harming themselves, so Usain grabbed her to keep her upright

@@agentmikster44 wrong, at that point bolt had no risk in getting injured because the girl was small and he just finished the race, therefore he had all the luxury to save her fall. It's like when you are holding a baby and trip up, anyone would turn their back to the ground so the baby doesn't get hurt because you would instantly know from the size difference between you and the baby that the baby would be the one at major risk. It's not a matter of a person's nature .
