They weren't flukes. GSP got caught by a fighter he underestimated, Nunes competed when she shouldn't have and also overlooked her opponent.

I don't think putting that miocic Vs cormier in the same bracket as the other fights is fair. In all other fights, distance between the level of two fighters is pretty big. Not between stipe and DC

Serra / GSP was the first, TRULY shocking upset to the MMA world. The closest before that might've been BJ beating Hughes to take the Welterweight strap, but the audience for the sport had grown exponentially with TUF, and EVERYONE thought it'd be light work for GSP. Funny, now we have a growing list of these upsets. They're like milestones in the history of the sport, always special to see.

I honestly came away from the last fight thinking Juliana Pena might be the better fighter still. I get amanda dropped her A BUNCH and won the fight by a large margin, but I think Pena looked off and was still tagging Amanda with some heavy shots.
