    I think it’s supposed to be Alex 2-1 over Izzy he lost the first fight man I just can’t say he won I’ve seen it enough times but yea he kinda has his number same height more weight more power less speed but better chin it’s a hard matchup for him but Izzy can come back from this if he changes his mindset less excuses more action Izzy and Kamaru should train w each other for this right man honestly it would Help Izzy understand wrestling a lot more and get him a submission win since he’s been practice BJJ longer than Alex and is already a better wrestler imo and it helps Kamaru w Leon cause Leon is basically Izzy at WW they strike similar but Leon is a south paw and Izzy is a switch hitter he can fight South Paw to help Kamaru wish the next fight could be in Africa!

    Bro what? Izzy was winning until the last round. He'll comeback stronger and learn from his mistakes. That's assuming literally anyone in the top six doesn't break Alex down with their superior grappling first. Either way the rematch will be super competitive and anyone could come off the winner.

    @@PineappledoesnotbelongonPizza2 what mistakes? Alex was simply better on the feet, hit harder, defended better, had better pressure. That’s why he’s a two time glory champ. Alex is going to improve far more on the ground then izzy will on the feet. It’s easier to make massive improvements in something you suck at over someone your amazing at. Without those grappling rounds izzy doesn’t even make it to the 5th round

    What Volk did to Max in the trilogy fight was unbelievable. Truly made an elite veteran look like a rookie.

  • @1974Imperium

    @1974Imperium

    Жыл бұрын

    The smartest thing Volk did in the 3rd fight was never allowing Max to reset. Max won that 2nd fight and Volk knows he got away lucky so he studied it. When Holloway gets off first, the has a chance to reset and unleash a 2nd attack he's a beast. (LIKE THE Katter fight) Volk took away his abilities to get out quick, reset and smash again. It's not so much he made him look like a rookie as he beat him to the punch. Volk is fucked when he fights Islam.

    Rich Franklin vs Anderson Silva. Rich was incredibly well rounded in his day, having good kickboxing, good wrestling and I believe he was a brown belt under Jorge Gurgel when he started fighting in the UFC. But the shadow of Anderson Silva has basically wiped him from the UFC’s memory, which is sad because he was such a great fighter and ambassador for the sport. He’s a HOF’er and rightfully so, but modern fans don’t remember him

    The difference in how Alex handled that win, went up to Izzy and gave him the well deserved respect for giving him his hardest fights, shaking his hand etc. compared to how Izzy would have handled the win is mind blowing. The case can be made that Whitaker won that second, but judges ain't calling a close one to the challenger. Not to mention, out of respect for adesanya, Whitaker got in a hole quickly, due to fear of engaging. That being said, the "number" that adesanya and jones had was size. Alex vs max is insane because the first fight was like an easy win for Alex and the second max adjusted and people say it was controversial and max was robbed but opinions aside the fight was still competitive apart from the two knockdowns which insane because that was max best chance and it was still competitive and fight 3 was even more dominant than fight 1

    What people forget is that DC was in his mid 30's when he began his trilogy with Jon Jones. I believe Cormier was good enough to defeat Jones, but it just wasn't in the cards even though he did take Jones to his limits. It must haunt Cormier at times, especially losing to a guy that doesn't take the sport as seriously as Cormier did. It's like working extremely hard at something you love for your entire life, you finally reach your professional peak only for this young unusually gifted arrogant dude to overshadow your work over and over and over again. Also, after you lose to that guy, you end up having to wait a long time for your rematch because the guy failed his drug tests. it's still crazy to me what Daniel Cormier was able to accomplish in the UFC in spite of the presence of Jon Jones. While it still doesn't sit well with Cormier, the Cormier vs Jones arc is a legendary era in UFC and mma history.
