According to Google Translate, the statement “we go to a nice bar” is “nous allons dans un bar sympa” in French. In this instance, it appears that “dans” translates to the English word “to”. But I had thought that when you want to say you’re going to some place, the French word for “to” would be “a” (with an accent). Or are there instances where you would say “dans” instead of “a” (with accent), like in the example I described above? Thanks.
