Mike Sexton epitomized what made poker so great in the early 2000s. He was the ambassador of poker and will always be remembered for his contributions to the game. When Mike Sexton died, a little part of poker died along with him.

it's very rare to find someone that almost no one has a bad thing to say about them. that is an indelible mark on a true legacy of someone who's passion could be felt for miles. RIP Mike Sexton.

Yes he is, and a nice guy. When I was in my early 20's 100 years ago, I used to play pool with Gabe in the rental apartment building we both lived in for a while on Miami Beach.
I was genuinely shocked and saddened when I learned of his passing. I just learned that he left behind a young child which saddens me even more.
I knew Mike from being on the early Card Player Cruises in the 1990's I do remember very specifically him saying poker could be huge....if only audience could see the hole cards.....he was right
I used to love watching those WPT episodes on Sunday night with Mike commentating. RIP
I didn't know until seeing this video that Mike Sexton had passed away. You did a wonderful job with this tribute video. You've given the world something that can be enjoyed by his family, friends and fans for decades to come.
Thanks, we miss him. ✌🏻👊🏼
When I first started playing poker in 2005, I would do a Mike Sexton impression if I was no longer in the hand:"I tell you what here, Vince...". Most of the other players had no clue, asking who the heck is Vince?

I also hadn't heard of this sad news. He always seemed like such a nice genuine guy. From this video i see that he was. Ill never forget his voice. I can close my eys and hear it, literally! RIP 🙏

Didn’t know Mike passed until I stumbled across an older episode of WPT last week. RIP.

His TOC win was a masterclass.if you get a chance check it out. Mike was a legend
I say , “We got a classic race situation here Vince” regularly.
Mike Sexton was a bridge between the "old-timers" and today's players, with the history and knowledge. I was more than happy personally when he won the WSOP bracelet in 2006 TOC and then a WPT title in 2016 Montreal. His relationship with Stu Ungar and his WPT commentaries always brought a smile to my face, thank you Mr. Sexton...today and forever.
A kid at 61 !!! Damn, Mike ! (Impressive)
Real Nice Tribute, Mike would be an easy guy to like, no matter how our paths may have crossed 👍🌈☀
I really miss the man. Rest in peace MIKE.
I met him in Glasgow Scotland, what a guy
Amazingly, Mike Sexton and Chip Reese were both born and grew up in Dayton, Ohio. 2 of the biggest names in the history of poker from a middle sized midwestern town. (not Vegas, California, or Texas).
An absolute legend and one of the games nicest guys!
WPT has become, nearly, unwatchable without Mike.....R.I.P.
I was at a final table , in Foxwoods with Mike, 7 stud eight or better. He gave me some advice that really helped me, could have hurt him. I ended up 5th, he won. This is before Part Poker etc.

Mike Sexton testified in court as an expert witness for a friend who was arrested for playing $20 poker.
Lon and Chad were the best
Had no idea he passed. Sad. I have been watching the Pluto WPT channel and he (and Tony) have taught me a lot and changed my game for the best.

dang I been watching WPT for over 15 years, loved Mike Sexton, had no idea had passed. I just re-signed up to ClubWPT to start streaming it and wondered why Vince was on the main page but not Mike. Bummer, but his voice will live forever. Some big calls came from him, and I had no idea he was involved in PartyPoker, thats where I started playing in like 06 or 07

I would like to see something more about the bot issue on ACR. I saw videos where there seemed to be tens if not hundreds of phones playing online. More about how they ar fighting that and if they actually track the IP addresses of players to prevent collusion.
Class acts the both of 'em.
