The Los Angeles skyline reference model was used by the short notice courtesy of Chris Loos - big thank you for that!
This intro is our conclusion to the trilogy of cataclysmic intros we started with One Of These Days The Sky's Gonna Break and continued with Darkness Lay Your Eyes Upon Me.
While initially we weren't planning to create a whole series of intros, over time we realized that there's a bigger, more intricate story to be found in the first chapter that we could expand to multiple points of view. It was an ambitious and perhaps overly optimistic attempt, and we hope we expanded the possibilities of what can be done in 64k.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.

Some of us do; we did a game together some time ago which was a moderate success in proportion to how unknown/green we were, and then we moved on to separate companies. Demo coding skills overlap with game coding but they don't match 1:1. Funnily enough the skills we're able to use in gamedev are mostly human skills, being able to work in teams, work remotely, work on time, work under pressure, being able to improvise, things like that.

Algorithmic/procedural generation (like trees stored not as a 'tree', but as a code to generate tree from the 'seed'), and similar stuff. Check out en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.kkrieger for example, it actively used procedural generation

Yeah and how's that coming along? Let me guess- you simply read one paragraph about "Nibiru" and declared yourself an expert? Did you even learn that Nibiru is just the Sumerian name for Jupiter? So, we already discovered Nibiru, it's literally Jupiter. But you people want mystique and to be "in" on some kind of arcane knowledge, so, here we are.

@@Connection-Lost Not so serious, plz! I don't believe in any sagas. I remember an old YT video showing a "Nibiru" smaller than Earth's Moon) impact on Earth. That's it. Astronomy and astrophysics were my main interests in the first half of my life up to now.

@meatpoet depends :P not that im saying your wrong, or right, Im just simply throwing in my 2 cents in using a good example for my argument here : Lets refer back billions of years ago, when dinosaurs were still alive, remember that texas size comet that hit earth and ended up killing the first generation of dinosaurs? but it wasnt the impact that killed them or the fire, nor was it electricity being violantly thrown everywhere, but the massive "nuclear" (is an example im gonna use) winter and froze the planet for a good while and shifted the earths axis's in orbit :P
