Here we go, then.
As you may have heard through the grapevine, we've started work on this engine about 3 years ago (before Clean Slate!), mostly from scratch, and this is our first "real" attempt to spend some time with the new features and see what we can do with it.
This particular intro is a bit more centered around tech than what we usually do: there are quite a few new tricks, like improved physically based rendering (we did have an early version of that in Clean Slate already, but just roll with us here), fluid dynamics, GPU-accelerated particles, and a few upgrades on the synth as well. We're still learning how to utilize all of this properly, but the potential we see in it is quite intriguing.
The intro itself has been inspired by the wonderful work of @RomanDeGiuli - obviously we went around it the hard way instead of "just" filming stuff, but who said demomaking should be easy and convenient? (Don't answer that.)
As you can imagine, the combination of new tech and time running out may have caused the intro to be a bit more resource-heavy than we hoped for, so make sure you have plenty of graphics memory - the 48GB from the Revision compo machine is probably a good start.

Legend has it, God was browsing through time and space and saw this 64k demo... He then decided to used it to form the universe, the galaxies, and everything that exists.

Every easter I look forward to the Revision demoparty and seeing new top demos for the year. Each year I see the new demos and a kind of meh response comes to me because the demos might seem a little underwhelming because they aren't what Im completely expecting. But then they grow on me become classics and I love them. This is a complete example of this phenomenon. At first I saw this demo and thought, ok cool but maybe too atmosphric and unspecific for what I was set up to recieve. Then I realize it's a real work of genius that I'll come to watch over and over again. It's because it's a real art and not usually what you expect when you first see it. That's why I love the demoscene.

Absolutely legendary one, i bow to Xenophobe whoever he is for his sonic superhero skills, Zoom BoyC and Gargaj for the overall synesthesia and presentation with the soundtrack, it blew me away every single launch!!! I express my deepest respect to your genius ways of expressing style and vision, hope y'all live forever my dudes 🤜🤛

I can tell you that this sort of release is a very good experimental workbench to see what works and what doesn't and some of the stuff in these releases will inevitably make its way into Ventuz when we're between developing high priority features. If not as a core feature then maybe as an extension once we have the extension API finalized.

was pretty impressive seeing it live
doesn't run on my rx7600, sadge... idk if it's because of a lack of vram, which would honestly worry me a whole lot about my future in running demos on my desktop, or just the AMD drivers being absolute garbage YET AGAIN. i guess i'll just have to cope with the abysmally low bitrate youtube video

It sortof "works" on an RX580 with 4GB VRAM. Not exactly a speeding bullet, but it does work.

@@ConspiracyHuthat's kinda reassuring i guess xd, still sad that AMD won't fix their damn drivers though (i'll be keeping an eye out just in case an AMD fixed version comes out) UPDATE : a very recent driver update actually fixed it, no way !!!!, it ran super smooth i'm extremely impressed
