If you want to record some MIDI to work up some loops, session view doesn’t let you do MIDI takes or record overwrite. It is hardwired for overdub only. Is this accurate?
I'm an FL user and learning Ableton right now, what I was sick of in FL was patterns and actually I am always using FL in track mode, without primarily using patterns at all. I only have to use it because it's being connected once I added sth in arrangement view. I decided to learn Ableton for lots of reasons but I guess I'm gonna only use arrangement views. Is it okay to your opinion? Because I'm someone directly would like to go to creation part. I want all my trials and errors in arrangement view. What do you think about it? Because I don't even actually understand why people use that session view honestly. It seems a waste of time to me.
