Indeed Dr Bergsma I don’t want to encounter the angry Jesus😊 I pray that I may see with God’s Grace my hypocrisy and mend my ways while I still have time. Thank you and God bless you.

Working full-time for a Christian Ministry …self-ambition and self-recognition may hinder God’s work… “Litany of Humility O Jesus! meek and humble of heart, Hear me. From the desire of being esteemed,” “Litany of trust Deliver me, Jesus. From restless self-seeking in the present moment”

«Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun set on your anger, and do not leave room for the devil.» (Ephesians 4:26-27 NAB) «Fools give vent to all their anger; but the wise, biding their time, control it.» (Proverbs 29:11 NAB) «Know this, my dear brothers: everyone should be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath, for the wrath of a man does not accomplish the righteousness of God.» (James 1:19-20 NAB)

How I really wish it is easy to find a spiritual director to disciple layman Catholic like me. I even find it hard to approach the priest as they are so busy with people also queuing up to talk to them and they have limited time😔 How I wish just like there are now tele-consultation with doctors there will also be available online spiritual direction where we can sign up and have a schedule with our spiritual director. I am even willing to sign up with a cost just to get spiritual guidance🙏

@@matthewjoseph9897 You’re right we can have spiritual guidance through the writings of the saints. I've read that book too. But for my everyday direction, I’ve been reading Padre Pio’s Spiritual Direction for Everyday and it really helps a lot. It’s like hearing directly from the Lord. But sometimes I can’t help but wonder if having a spiritual director will offer a much better option for someone like me who gets confused most often from what I read from the Bible and also in my circumstances. Thank you

@@matthewjoseph9897 Thank you for mentioning the Didache Bible, quite interesting to have one. Let me see if I can find it here in Singapore. Most of the times I google for commentaries but I know they are mostly non-Catholics so that is why I was very happy to find St. Paul Center youtube channel. I will consider getting that Didache Bible. Whether we find a spiritual director or not let's persevere til the end as God only promised to give reward to those who hold out to the end.😊 God bless you too!

Prosperity Gospel is so rife among evangelical and Pentecostal churches in Africa, Latin America and poor countries. They attribute poverty to lack of Jesus in their lives which is false. Thank you for mentioning that

I maybe wouldn't speak only about wealth. I think it also applies to earthly "wellbeing" in general.

How do you find a spiritual director? I had a priest tell me during confession as part of penance to get spiritual director. I tried…..everything I could think of. Found a book that made obvious I was not ready yet. Needed better prayer life. Made big changes there. Should have done years before. But still no luck finding help. A priest in confession removed the requirement, but said to keep looking…..no luck yet.
