I feel sad that Batistuta didn't win WC. He is seriously one of the best striker in history. I never seen him scored tap in goals. Additonally, he is very humble and handsome guy.

@@wesdug7151 yeah, that's sad, I always liked Batistuta and it's a shame he never won WC, but lots of teams with their golden eras and awesome squads never did too like Cruyffs and Robben's Netherlands, damn basically Netherlands has the most chances to win WC in the football history which is sad they have none, they could have at least 3 titles with all the amazing teams they had, same goes for magic Hungary in 50s, I know it would be really tiring for all players but it would be awesome if we had WC more often so more teams could have a chance. Sadly how FIFA rules basically makes players super tired every game it's never gonna be possible to have more tournaments between nations and often lots of amazing teams lose their chances to have a trophy

The current generation wont even mention Batigol and Ronaldo in their pick for strikers. If Ronaldo remained injury free and Batistuta played in bigger teams they would have been up there as highest goal scorers of all time. Super underrated.

I mean, the ones don't really know about futbol fifa Console players ,but people that actually watch and follow futbol know what up .. C9 Ronaldo was the best player on the word on his peak , and bati one of the best 9 on the last 50 years.

Doubt it. You only need one guy to shoot the ball in the net. As good as Batistuta was at doing just that, he was also very selfish and often went for the shot instead of the easy pass for open goal. If they play together they will most likely not score more goals combined than if Ronaldo played with someone like Bergkamp. Both Ronaldo and Batistuta were magical players, but I think I would rather have one of them than both together.

The two of them scored 5 goals in 60 minutes against the best defenders of Europe! But they didn't just score, every single assist (if I am not mistaken) was by either Ronaldo, or Batigol! Insane, even for a friendly. Btw Europe vs Rest of the World would still be amazing friendly! They should do it again.

Too much games now a days. I don't think they would sacrafice injuries. We stopped playing on season friendlies because of this (players didn't always want to come or their clubs didn't want them to come) and now there is Nations league because of this.

It doesnt matter if its a friendly, they never play together before , yet they just clicked naturally.
Batistuta could have been the greatest goalscorer....but chose to play with weak teams and stay loyal... His shooting accuracy combined with power out of nowhere makes him a shooting asset in the team

Yea, he scores like 300 goals at club level by playing in teams like Fiorentina (almost a decade) and Roma instead of Juventus , AC Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid and MU. In Argentina his scoring ratio is actually much higher than Ronaldo. He'd easily scores as many as Messi or CR if playing in dominant team.

Wouldnt call fiorentina and roma weak teams, of course not on the same levels as Milan,Inter,Real Madrid,MUtd,Barca,etc.... But still bati was playing with players like Rui Costa,Edmundo,Enrico Chiesa,Mijatovic and toldo in Fiorentina and with Totti,Montella,Cassano and cafu in Rome

Gabriel Batistuta, the greatest striker of all time. As a United fan, the goals he scored against us were ridiculous, pure class. I've watched almost all his league goals but never saw this match, thanks! That goal at 1m45s, absolutely brilliant!

His season in Barca and first in Inter are best of him probably! He was good in Real but he had Zidane, Figo, Raul, Becham,... so it was easy too play in that team!

Because clubs and agents are scared of injuries over 'petty' exhibition match. Its a liability if they still have to pay their salary when their players are injured for months.

Most great players are now centralized within elite clubs already, compared to earlier generations where talents are more spread out around different clubs and leagues. You won't see a player with Batistuta's reputation play in Fiorentina or similar level clubs nowadays. Super teams are common now, no wonder scoring records are broken every day. All-star games are no longer desired as much since regular european league or champions league already feel like so.
