There are many great players including CR7, Messi and Mpabbe, etc. But what I saw in R9 had a lasting impression on me. In terms of pure talent, I feel he is incomparable. Watch how he dribbled past Luca Marchegiani in the 98 Uefa Cup final. His wiggle of the hip is not something he practiced, it was instinctive and have you ever so smooth an elastico executed at ease. I lament we only saw the 2 best years of R9 in Europe top-flight (96 -97 with Barcelona) and (97-98 with Inter). Missed seeing him play.

Dumb comparison. CR7 was already old when he faced Izzo, while R9 was on his prime when facing 90's Maldini. R9 in his 30's was not such a big challenge for italian defenses. You CR7 haters are insecure and silly.

@@MrAlepedroza Ronaldo retire when he was 31 , no knees and all sorts of injuries . His prime start when he was only 19 , had two ending career injuries but fought thru and won a W Cup . Nobody hates CR7 a great player indeed , is just he was never as good the real one .
