And yet she continues her fight. That is bravery.

The fact Riley tied with Will/Lia Thomas, shows what an incredible swimmer she is. Although she says she didn't perform her best in that race, she tied with a biological 6'4 male and is till down-to-earth & humble. That's the biggest achievement if ever I saw one.

Nah, I mean, obviously Riley being an All American she is an incredible athlete, but Will would have smoked the ever living shit out of her if he was trying. She alludes to it in the interview here but doesn't outright say it, Will was "throwing" this heat. It's something he famously began to do here and there to discredit the questions about fairness. You don't get first place by 5-10 seconds and then finish fifth because you had "a bad heat". Impossible, unless you aren't really trying at all.

@@lorrainet6798 If you look at "Lia" Thomas, the fact that Riley Gaines TIED with him is super impressive. I found a photo of him post-Trans, where he is a lot bigger than some male swimmers. Thomas is the SAME HEIGHT (6' 4") as Michael Phelps. That gives him a SIGNIFICANTLY longer reach than a 5' 7" Riley Gaines. Yet, they still gave Thomas the trophy with the comment that she(he) MUST be photographed with the trophy. If the smaller woman ties with a man that is NINE INCHES taller than her, she should get the trophy. That's some impressive swimming in Riley's part. It's no wonder she is a twelve-time All American swimmer. Yet, Thomas couldn't hack it in men's swimming and can't win as a woman when up against Riley.

I've worked in the sport, health & fitness industry for almost 30 years. I am a specialist women's health coach. As my ex-partner was an National UK swimmer, I fully appreciate how difficult it is for men to make it to the top, I also appreciate and have seen how much work, sweat and tears young women have to go through to get to the top! Disgraceful that a man is allowed in female sport, let alone in a female changing rooms. In my day that was what perverts & paedophile coaches did. Enough is enough - transwomen are not women, they have biological advantages over women. Don't forget even when dead, their skeletons will tell they are men.

If the majority starts coming together to bring in multiple lawsuits, these policies will change quickly. I would say for the entire team to just do a walk-out in protest, but they are trying to get scholarships and things, so it's a hard sacrifice for them.

I have a locker room incident to share that unfortunately will never make headlines. Our hospital has enacted inclusivity “protections” for their employees. Immediately following these announcements a man who is 6’5 weighing around 250lbs began showing up in the nurses locker room. This man maintains his male appearance but claims he is female now. One evening an exhausted surgical nurse, coming off a long shift, entered the nurses locker room to find this man standing just inside the doorway, away from the showers (that have privacy screens) and away from the lockers, fully naked with an erection and GREETING her. She was stunned and as she backed up to leave he began berating her saying “Where are you going? I have a right to be here, I am a woman”. She reported it to HR and was informed any complaint from her would be considered harassment and offered her sensitivity training.

I was in a homeless shelter that lets the female identifiers in the women's section. I found one of these guys masterbating in the women's bathroom. I told security and staff, when I asked if he was going to get kicked out I was told "she identifies as a woman there's nothing we can do". I got furious and said his penis does not have an identity. I got kicked out of the shelter for "homophobic language". I said to her so calling a man a man is homphobic and she said yes...sigh. Also told when a guy with a beard was brought in to the womens section and I said that is a man. I was told "His pronouns are they. If you don't like it leave". I get your sentiment but they really are not the ones responsible for stopping this, even if you think they have the power (which is questionable). This insanity has to stop from the school administrators and, if not, state and federal legislators. The students just want to swim and not be ridiculed for being "transphobic" or what have you. The inmates are running the asylum.

If Lia Thomas was a proper gentleman he wouldn’t be cheating women out of their rightful place.

Oh Riley is totally right, and she's very respectful talking about Lia thomas.

When my Son was 4, He decided he was Batman. For 6 Months, He Wore his Halloween Costume every Day … Ran around / Fighting / Defeating Bad Guys. But ( as His Adult in the Room / Parent ) I still Did Not Let Him Jump off the Roof.

I'm a father of 3 young daughters, I can never imagine my girls going through this pathological, preposterous and psychotic situation! Men, unfortunately, found a way to infiltrate women's rights and sports.

There was a transgender swimmer who competed as a man, knowing they would almost always come in last. But they loved the sport and wanted to swim, regardless of placement. I can admire that. Contrast that to Lia Thomas showing up a fully formed, 6'4", functioning male saying "I identify as a woman and should compete as one". Disgusting, narcissistic, entitled and delusional.

There is a lot fewer trans men then women. Are the men in danger? Because the women are. Trans men that take testosterone still aren't strong enough to be much of a threat. The ones on testosterone also grow a micro penis. So they at least have the right parts. The transwomen however are still very strong and often still fully equipped. And some aren't trans just predatory. This is just reality.

I will never be okay with pedos, they are a danger to society. I honestly feel they should not get any second chances if they prey on children. We should quit wasting tax dollars on housing them and just put them down like a dog who mentally scares a kid. I have children and when my first born was conceived I took a vow to protect them no matter what.

You want to explain your logic there by any chance???? You do realize swimmers do swim more than 1 event, right??? So, why didn't she say they were transphobic when she LOST all her other races?? No, even better, please tell us the names of all the women that beat her....quickly please! She won the 100 yd, lost the 200 and 500. Who got 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 4th and 5th? Because in one race she placed 5th and the second she placed 6th! It's sad that you take your time to give your opinion without taking the time to get the facts

The one thing you don’t do when dealing with a psychopathy is reinforce it and by allowing this man to compete against women, they have done just that.

During the bike race in Europe they offered a nonbinary heat for people. The trans individual still chose to race the women. He won by almost 17 minutes. The women refused to take the podium with him. He stood there in first place by himself and took the prize money.

If there is any balance in the universe, when this trans stuff is looked at with a logical eye, the titles ‘won’ by the likes of Lia Thomas will be nullified, and the real winners will be acknowledged.

Give trans people their own competitions! Make women’s sports for female! Trans can compete with trans. How will we explain this period of time to our grandchildren? This is so shameful that we are falling for this!!! And not telling the truth about men are men and women are women! It’s taking the magic out of sports! We are regressing not progressing! How can we allow this to happen and explain it to our grandchildren?

Agree - this is absolutely what they should do, they did it when competitors were found to be using drugs, disqualified them, stripped the medals and moved the places up.

The fact that was ever allowed to happen shows how insane humanity can get.. people bend reality, science and fact as if it's nothing!!
