@@Thunder11110 A chair is a piece of furniture with a raised surface supported by legs, commonly used to seat a single person. Chairs are supported most often by four legs and have a back; however, a chair can have three legs or can have a different shape. Chairs are made of a wide variety of materials, ranging from wood to metal to synthetic material (e.g. plastic), and they may be padded or upholstered in various colors and fabrics, either just on the seat (as with some dining room chairs) or on the entire chair. Chairs are used in a number of rooms in homes (e.g. in living rooms, dining rooms, and dens), in schools and offices (with desks), and in various other workplaces.

Benrey's character was so good because he was channeling a specific archetype in gaming: The edgy troll with a bad mic. His VA used a Guitar hero microphone explicitly to lower the mic quality.

It should also be said that The Yogscast did a version of Lets Play improv Roleplay back in 2011-2013 with their Minecraft Shadow of Israphel and Tekkit series where they both started as a normal lets play but then developed into a story. Israphel was more heavy on the improv roleplay later whereas Tekkit had the regular Minecraft gameplay but with an underlying story happening around them about their rivalry with other characters, bringing pigs back to life through a business deal with the rivals and then later being controlled by a giant talking head. As well as a regular lets play was happening and more examples of Yogscast doing this in other series.

@@Adrischa Unfortunately it's probably because of the amount of work and collaboration required to make it happen. Not only do you need a willing group of people with free time, but you have to have stagehands and a direction for the story to go, as well as actual good performance chemistry between the people improv-ing. Even further with games, you have to set up maps and mods and work out the technical bugs before you start the show. Also, all the work is most likely done for free or for whatever money is made off of YT/Twitch. This is why wayne and the crew won't be doing more of the AI series for at least a few months and probably why Israphel was never finished.

Fun fact: when at the end of act two, Gordon asks coomer if he understood the moral of the story and he says no, then the vox says no… total accident and they don’t know why it happened. In the behind the scenes footage at the end of the cast commentary you can see gir typed in something along the lines of “end the stream”. Words the vox is capable of saying. When given words it doesn’t have programmed in it just doesn’t say anything. But for some fucking reason it went rogue and said “no” at the funniest possible moment. The vox chanting ASS BLAST USA when they were fucking around after the rp part of the stream ended before they turned it off was a delight too

This as a storytelling/entertainment concept delights me enormously and everytime I find a new one I relish it. Taking a typical playthrough of a game & perhaps gradually turning it into its own narrative with unique characters and storylines beyond that which was intended by the original game. Not quite machinima, not quite lets play. Favorites include: Accursed Farm's Freemands Mind - Gordon Freemans inner thoughts expressed verbally, denoting his eventual descent into madness Sovietwomble's ARMA Bullshittery Part 9 - Comedic antics of the ZF clan re-framed through plausible global crisis Most of what BedBananas does Criken's Children of the Bean - Haunting tale of Bean worshipping children in A Reign of Kings NeoCraniums The R.E.D.S Defuse a bomb - SFM animated representation of twitch chat attempt to cooperate & help Neo defuse bombs Thought I would also mention Shadow of Israphel, the Yogscast old flagship show, wherein they take their run of the mill Minecraft lets play & elevate it into an almost fully fledged fantasy universe & story where they may not be definitive characters but they are in a definitive world beyond that of the original game.

I know I’m 3 years late, but just a personal note: Last summer I wrote an essay for college attempting to explain _Half Life VR: but the AI is Self Aware._ So going into this video, I had a benchline for how to analyze the same media. And I gotta say: your video is way better than my analysis! Your genuinely original identification that this is “theater” allowed you to pull from an older store of research into comedy (in my essay I incorrectly labeled the series “Machinima”? ugh), and it enhances my understanding of the original material-the jokes follow logical structures that explain why I found them so funny on my first watch-through. And I appreciate how you dug into the Q&As for info (because the Q&As were NEVER uploaded to the wayneradiotv KZread channel, I suspect you had to dig through the vods), so I highly treasure the effort you put into making this. Even if not everyone in the HLVRAI fandom watched this, I’m happy to see this critical view of the series, made so shortly after it concluded and does it justice. As someone who wants to continue making media reviews, this shows a media analysis done right.

One of the basic pieces of furniture, a chair is a type of seat. Its primary features are two pieces of a durable material, attached as back and seat to one another at a 90° or slightly greater angle, with usually the four corners of the horizontal seat attached in turn to four legs-or other parts of the seat's underside attached to three legs or to a shaft about which a four-arm turnstile on rollers can turn-strong enough to support the weight of a person who sits on the seat (usually wide and broad enough to hold the lower body from the buttocks almost to the knees) and leans against the vertical back (usually high and wide enough to support the back to the shoulder blades). The legs are typically high enough for the seated person's thighs and knees to form a 90° or lesser angle. Used in a number of rooms in homes (e.g. in living rooms, dining rooms, and dens), in schools and offices (with desks), and in various other workplaces, chairs may be made of wood, metal, or synthetic materials, and either the seat alone or the entire chair may be padded or upholstered in various colors and fabrics. Chairs vary in design. An armchair has armrests fixed to the seat; a recliner is upholstered and under its seat is a mechanism that allows one to lower the chair's back and raise into place a fold-out footrest; a rocking chair has legs fixed to two long curved slats; a wheelchair has wheels fixed to an axis under the seat.

A chair is a piece of furniture with a raised surface used to sit on, commonly used to seat a single person. Chairs are most often supported by four legs and have a back;[1][2] however, a chair can have three legs or could have a different shape.[3] A chair without a back or arm rests is a stool,[4] or when raised up, a bar stool.[5] A chair with arms is an armchair[6] and with folding action and inclining footrest, a recliner.[7] A permanently fixed chair in a train or theater is a seat[8] or, in an airplane, airline seat;[9] when riding, it is a saddle[10] and bicycle saddle,[11] and for an automobile, a car seat[12] or infant car seat.[13] With wheels it is a wheelchair[14] and when hung from above, a swing.[15] A chair for more than one person is a couch, sofa, settee, or "loveseat";[16] or a bench.[17] A separate footrest for a chair is known as an ottoman,[18] hassock[19] or pouffe.[20] The chair is known for its antiquity and simplicity, although for many centuries it was an article of state and dignity rather than an article of ordinary use. "The chair" is still extensively used as the emblem of authority in the House of Commons in the United Kingdom[21] and Canada,[22] and in many other settings.

I mean, Freeman's Mind is much different than just a commentary, theres a lot of thought put into the actions, and times that he "breaks the rules" of the game to have a more logical story.

I honestly did not expect this series to get coverage at all on this channel. Well done.

Freeman's Mind is genuinely one of the most entertaining series of all time. As well as HLBTAISA (Half Life but the AI is Self Aware)
