Jon Snow and Jeremy Paxman are simply irreplaceable. With Jon's departure this week, we have now lost two of the giants of British broadcasting. The airwaves are very much the poorer now without their presence!

Jeremy Paxman was an awesome interviewer. When he interviewed people it was often like a cross examination by a prosecuting lawyer. The sort of interviewing that all politicians should do.

Only Paxman could turn the tables and start interviewing Snow! :)

Two old geezers....however, I see Paxman as the weak BBC link and I'd prefer Mr Snow as company. I hate being judged.

You can tell these two have been in a pub together before.

These two need their own show.

Without a doubt the two best television journalists of _at least_ the last fifty years. Both giants, both sadly retired. I'd never have believed they had such a great rapport if I hadn't seen it myself.

Yea it did, and it was pretty unfair too. Paxman says he likes to find out about things, inform people, and let them make their own decisions. Twitter can be used to do just that. You find out something, post a link to inform others, and then let them make their own decisions. Having 'followers' in this context is just like having 'viewers' of your show.

s shat scene of Jon Snow singing is just brilliant. I admire him because he has been such a great journalist over the decades and the first time I saw him was in a reportage in my country, El Salvador, during the 1980s civil war.

Manchester Wine c4 news came out on top of the list of unbiased news and Jon snow is figurehead of c4 news. They have to be impartial because they are a public Channel like the bbc not a private one like itv. Their impartiality is precisely the reason why paxman himself has moved to c4 from bbc.

Those two are absolute legends and I for one felt safe with them around to shred the shady politicians I mean who really is left to ask those difficult tough questions

This interview really made me laugh, somewhere in this interview, the two are quietly amicable. It seems sweet, and somewhat homely. :]

I loved Jeremy's reaction to the Twitter topic, especially from 4.54; comedy gold! Great interview! I particularly like the idea of discovering and informing being paramount. So much journalism these days seems to focus on leading opinion which is so unhelpful because ordinary people are just not allowed the space to be independent and make up their own minds. Instead we are left having to analyse the various agendas of the writers before analysing the content itself, including whether it's accurate and complete.

Time has proven Paxman to be correct. Snow and his fellow lefties are ideologues. Paxman is a real journalist.

First time I've ever seen this. I watched the Jon Snow long interview/mini docu. recently and now having watched this I can see Jon is a giant of a journalist and Jeremy is a TV presenter - that's it. They're different beasts altogether. Their brains are wired up quite differently. Funny how Jeremy reacted to what was an extremely mild interview.

Jon Snows been longer in the broadcasting industry than Paxman. But great otherwise

I have come back to this on 23/12/21. Jeremy has gone and now Jon has left channel 4. It begs the question that who is left to take those in charge to task. I will miss the both

Watched this then, watching it again now..still absolute gold! This is 'The Trip' but the enforced meeting is a Beeb meeting room rather than a Rangie :D

IO ran into Paxman in Waterstones Central London - a gentleman, 'grounded'.

I met him when I was younger. He's a lovely man.

The chemistry between the two of them is amazing. The one thing I'd love to see is the two of them re-enacting Fry & Lauries' "man who thinks he's a psychiatrist sketch"... maybe some day, for a charity gig?

Paxman is now the face of Channel 4's election night coverage since 2015. He will be there again tomorrow night Thursday 8th June, but he will be based in Pinewood Studios with Jon Snow back at ITN, 21 miles away.

Paxman is superb!

I’ve met so to speak albeit very briefly and in passing both Paxman and Snow many years ago when they were guest speakers where I worked. Rather opposite to what I thought they’d be like but Paxman was incredibly polite, respectful and humble. Snow came across as very arrogant, haughty and rude, maybe he was having a bad day. Miss Paxman

Andrew Neil and Jeremy Paxman were one of the reasons I enjoyed political interviews on the BBC. Now both have gone, leaves the BBC in a terrible place, with the likes of Laura Kunesberg and Andrew Marr both weak as dish water at interviewing.

This is like a Monty Python sketch.

Snow is different class to Paxman. The nature of this interview shows how so-called showmanship comes before any level of commitment. He doesn't tweet before he doesn't care about anything but himself.

How did this interview end up with such a bitter undertone. lol
