Boulton demonstrated an acute lack of professionalism with this debacle. Moreover, live on TV!

he had boulton over big time and campbell was loving it. boulton can`t really mix it with the big boys. am not a big campbell fan but got to give him respect for the way he schooled boulton.

Love it. Boulton is so up himself he was already half way to a hissy fit when the interviewer bypassed him at the intro. Swaying from side to side, finger pointing and then Campbell slipped the dagger in with "Calm down".... straight out of that film Anger Management.

Boulton very unprofessional.

I’m no fan of Campbell at all.....but Boulton made a fool of himself that day. Maybe something had happened between them before the camera started rolling but Campbell definitely came off better here, controlled and measured whereas Boulton looked ready to implode.

Alistair Campbell always seems to come up on top. Love him or hate him, he's a skilled operator

This is Sky in a nutshell, arrogant journalism. Adam Boulton is an opinionated baboon and yet is supposed to be a top flight political journalist. Regardless of what Alastair Campbell, he's entitled to his opinion, the job of Boulton is to question that opinion for the benefit of the audience and not berate the guest with their own agenda. Awful news channel.

I remember the mood in 2010, and how weird it was in hindsight, that the idea of the two more progressive parties forming a coalition in the event of a hung parliament would somehow be a democratic outrage from many journalists. 20 years of majority governments has eroded people's understanding of how parliament's work, as in virtually all parliaments, across all modern history.

I remember a newspaper columnist at the time refering to this as 'Raging Boul' which made me chuckle.

Boulton trying to ask and answer the questions....Campbell is so shrewd....was able to flip a legitimate question on Brown's untenable position to make it look like Boulton had an agenda.

Both Liberal Democrats and Labour must have wished they had formed a coalition. Tories completely threw the Lib Dems popularity under the bus. Lib/Lab coalition would have been backed up by 15m votes, compared to the Tories 10m, so they had reasonable grounds to work together and form a coalition. Sadly, the Lib Dems took another path, at the cost to the country and their party.
