So cute
Nice… my girlfriend and I went to Gardiner MT and visited Yellowstone last November… we came right after a snow storm. It was cold, peaceful, and beautiful. We hiked and rented a atv and did some trails. Can’t wait to go back, maybe visit another place in Montana. Working on figuring out the time of year to go next time.

Excellent! We are Alaskans who winter in Montana. We live just south of Polson. I like the winters because less traffic, excellent cross country skiing AND hiking. I especially hiking along the Flathead River which stays open all winter long and has eagles, Canada geese, mule deer, bighorn sheep, otters, etc. Because we are on the edge of the time zone, it never gets dark until after 5pm which is so sweet compared to winters up in interior Alaska where sunset is 2:40pm on the solstice. My favorite time to visit Yellowstone is in May when calving (elk,deer, bison) is on, bears are out, and it is not as crowded with people.
