In this video, we take a look at the various times of the year and talk about the pros and cons of visiting. We talk about the summer months, which are the most popular. This is partial because people tend to travel more in the summer, and partially because the weather in Yellowstone is fantastic then. We go over what to expect when it comes to summer accommodations, the types of wildlife you should expect to see, what types of activities are available, and more. We talk about how the fall is an excellent alternative to visiting in the summer since it’s still fairly temperate and there are far fewer people. But at the same time how the fall is super quick.
It heads right into a long winter. We talk about how the winter has some big drawbacks, like much of the access to the park being closed. But at the same time how it’s ideal for lovers of winter activities, and how it’s potentially the best time to see wildlife because they all come down to lower elevations. We talk about how springtime is a fun time to visit, because the park has started to thaw, and some more animals are emerging from hibernation or migrating back into the park. But how it has drawbacks, such as no hotels inside the park being open! All in all, it’s a great look into the various months of the year and what to expect from a visit to Yellowstone.
