@@julycat2650 the headless fierce corpse was actually the body of one of Xichen's sworn brothers, Nie Mingjue. He immediately recognized from the way the corpse swayed the blade like using a saber instead. Like imagine your long dead closest friend suddenly turned up headless and full of resentment aura, of course you would feel sad and shock.

He did this all while he was *drunk*

Zewu jun Freakout because Wangji Appears without his Head ribbon and there's Weiying Taking His best Time to Untied that ribbon From His Arm🤣🤣

I feel bad for former clan leader Nie :( He was a hero in the sunshot campaign and contributed greatly to freeing the clans off the Wens... But he died an undignified death and can't even rest in peace :((

Spoiler alert for those just getting into this fandom: Too bad there wasn’t more Twin Jades fighting together scenes in the book that could be put into this donghua…Cuz boy!! They’re BADASS! We need more Twin Jades! Poor Nie Mingjue, he was so horribly killed, betrayed and dismembered by his sworn brother. I feel so bad for him. His resentment is so strong that it took efforts of Wei Ying and the Twin Jades and all their spiritual weapons to subdue him….wow, what an amazing scene!

Out of all the instruments in this Donghua, I absolutely love Wei Ying's flute.
