Does he use the word and the Holy Spirit to convict us or does he discipline us with sickness, pain , and bad circumstances? I have often felt pain and thought: this is probably from sin and than beg God to heal me and forgive me

I feel the same with pain. I had a pain in my stomach and once I said I'm just about to go to hospital it stopped but I sinned the day before but repent that night the pain came right before I got off work and lasted until next morning.

The Holy Spirit does convict us, I have found that He does more as a Warning ⚠️ or as Preventative measure, it's kind of like a conscience or His still "small" voice. If I head it, Him, I am less likely to go in the wrong direction or sin in the manner of which He is has warned me of that I'm headed for. His Conviction is Good, and I am ALWAYS THANKFUL for it and Always Pray 🙏 I remain Sensitive to His Prompts, His lead in my life, His Voice and His convictions. But yes just as this video has spoken about these things, the Way God Disciplines and When and Why, and also to the person who has commented, (replied to you) before me here, these are all things or ways of which I have experienced His Disciplining Hand- Correction as well once having crossed the threshold of disobedience.

Whenever talking about God disciplining His children I want to emphasize or rather in this matter, EXPAND on something Further here and not neglect to say.... Jesus Warns us that there will be Troubles and Tribulations In this World and we are not to be Surprised by Suffering we experience down here. There are many sufferings and sicknesses, illnesses and disabilities and troubles that befall us that are NOT a Direct Result of Our Recent, Disobedience or sinful actions. The reason for so many troubles and illnesses in this world is because it is a fallen world, it is because Sin has Entered In, it is CORRUPTED, and we are always with sin in our flesh, (our spiritual warfare), even Paul suffered harsh treatments and brutal beatings while on a mission for God and it was not due to a direct Disobedience of his own. God is ALWAYS training us, (which is discipline) like said in this video, speaking of an athlete that trains himself, we are to live a disciplined life as self-controlled one, Paul speaks of being disciplined in the Lord and he disciplined himself as well in the Lord. These are ALL things that TEACH US and HELP US to grow so that we may be Holy as He Is Holy and to become more Christ-like, because even Jesus disciplined Himself by Submitting Himself in Obedience to the Father. All the while EVERYTHING else we have already Discussed before this point here is also and Still True, but what my understanding from God is, and has been from my experience and from others is that God will always make sure that You KNOW Deep Inside that WHEN you are SUFFERING, and it's a Disciplining moment as a Direct result of your current Disobedience or Recent Disobedience, this is so you May LEARN and turn from your sinful ways, you will Always Know when It Is Due to a direct result of your actions Rather than it not being that case. Of course in ALL Sufferings and Oppositions and Troubles that I face in this life I ALWAYS ask - SEEK the Lord to Reveal to me what He is trying to teach me and If there is a sin I am blinded to that He REVEAL it to me so I may turn from it. I can't help but to pray that everytime I do suffer but it is His desire to make sure I am aware of my sin as well, However, I believe it is a Responsibility of ours to ask Him these things. As David did ask that the Lord reveal to him if there's any offensive way in him.

Not always. I dont want you to be confused on this since many say "if youre life has no struggle, sickness, or pain, God has favor on you." The truth is God often times allows bad circumstances to occur for our blessing, we can suffer loss, sickness and affliction and its all for Gods glory and our growth and at times correction. Examples i can give is the book of Job, but more precisely the life of Paul. He suffered many afflictions, and he knew it was God blessing and preparing him or just using him. Paul once prayed three times for God to take a thorn in the flesh (2 Corinthians 12:8). However, God answered: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). Paul stopped asking for God to remove it.

Dicipline ok but death. If we are under grace why apply the law on us ?
