Sin can open doors that cannot be closed: 2 Peter 2:19 "They promise them freedom, while they themselves are slaves of depravity--for 'people are slaves to whatever has mastered them." John 8:34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin."

John 8:31-36 and Romans 6 few verse to help Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. 7 For he who has died has been freed from sin. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. 13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. 16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.

Isaiah 58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. 1 John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Is the Spiritual War over? Clearly not. Paul's teachings make it clear. Even after Christ's death & resurrection, we're here in the Land of the Lost surrounded by temptations & deceptions, and the traps/snares of the devil. PICK UP YOUR CROSS DAILY & FOLLOW JESUS. That was a Commandment from the Commander in Chief. The war ain't over until Christ returns. BE VIGILANT & DO NOT BE DECEIVED. Against what?? SATAN = SIN = DEATH = HELL. Forward march....

@@wakeywakey8603 Hello there it is true for us believers who are converted to the faith about the struggle against sin and temptation. It won't be over for us until what you mentioned comes to pass. Romans 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

@@fightthegoodfightoffaithmi8676 Bc we inherited Sin from Adam & Eve. It's in our DN@. That's why we need reGENEration by the Holy Spirit dwelling in our Heart (=Soul). From glory to Glory. It's a process. The more we Love God & people, the more we evolve into the image (likeness) of God (Jesus Christ). Our only hope. Amen ❤

What is the key to victory when struggling with sin? " Stop the struggle and rest in the forgiveness that you have in Christ Jesus. Realize your position and Identity in Christ that you have been made alive together with him and that God no longer holds your sins against you anymore" ( Colossians 2:13-14 )

The spiritual war for souls rages on. Be sober. Be vigilant. Put on the full armor of God. Trust in the Lord. Abide in Faith, Hope & Love. Endure to the end. And above all, do not be deceived. Rest in the Lord but stay wide awake. As with all things, balance is key. ❤

@@wakeywakey8603The spiritual war for souls rages on but the key is understanding that our victory already gained has been determined by our position and identity in Christ and that the struggle against sin has already been won. The issue that so many of us Christians have is removing the guilt and condemnation that we put on ourselves because of sin and that is what the struggle is. It is really hard to accept that we have been totally forgiven for our sins even after we have committed them but still feel we need to do some sort of self-improvement of our flesh and make promises to God about better conduct in the future to make ourselves feel better and to keep God happy. When I start to condemn my self because of my sins, I always remember ( Romans 8:31-39). When we accept Jesus Christ by grace through faith, we can now trust in his promises and rest in his salvation.

@@bereangirl7118 If all sins (past, present & future) were forgiven at the cross, the majority of people would be going to Heaven. But the Scriptures say that the way is straight & narrow. Only few will find it. Most will take the Broad way which leads to destruction. Just as in the Garden of Eden, we have free will to choose Sin or Righteousness everyday. Jesus said to pick up your cross DAILY & follow Him on the path of Righteousness. That clearly means to TURN AWAY from Sin. The Blood of Jesus is not a license to sin without condemnation. The Blood of Jesus carried the Holy Seed which was imputed (implanted) into our Soul so we may bear Fruits of Righteousness. No Fruits = No Salvation. And only the Holy Spirit can bring forth Fruits of the Spirit which are the attributes of Christ (Love, Faith, Joy, Peace, Wisdom, etc.). The Gospel doesn't end with Forgiveness of Sins. It ends with Marriage (God's Spirit + my Soul) = Good Fruit. Otherwise, there's no point in marriage. As the Bride & Child of God's Kingdom, I gain citizenship in Heaven, the Promise Land.

You got to have better context here You cant have victory in the realizing of a reality without doing the things that you are instructed to get there There is the requirement of putting off the old and and putting on the new man and a Putting to deaths' the deeds of the body in other words, repenting from all you sins kind of like in romans 6 and the living in the spirit like in romans 8 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 4 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. 5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. 8 But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

I agree. How to test if you are in the faith and are really saved? 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? From this verse we know that we can certainly know if we are saved. But how can you know if you are really saved? The scriptures clearly say: James 2:10-11 KJV For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and YET OFFEND IN ONE POINT, he is GUILTY OF ALL. [11] For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. You will probably say, “But we are not UNDER THE LAW because Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law (Gal. 3:13)” Certainly. But do you not know that you are ONLY NOT under the law if you already died to it? Have you died to the law? How do you know? Please read these verses carefully. It clearly says that if you sin, you are still a servant of sin and sin leads to death. You are therfore still under the law if you still struggle with sin. Romans 6:1-7,11,14-16,18,20-23 KJV Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? [2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? [3] Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE. [5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: [6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. [7] FOR HE THAT IS DEAD IS FREED FROM SIN. If you are still sinning you are NOT YET DEAD from the law. You have not yet been crucified with Christ. It is clear that we can be freed from sinning by dying to it. [11] Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. [14] For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. [15] What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. [16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? [18] Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. [20] For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. [21] What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. [22] But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. [23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 3:31 KJV Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, WE ESTABLISH THE LAW. (those who died to sin have fulfilled the law because he does not cause anyone to stumble by loving his neighbor, therefore, they will not be judged under the law because they do not transgress it.) Jesus said likewise that whoever sins is a servant of sin. If he sets you free from it you are free indeed. That way you are able to fulfill the law. John 8:34,36 KJV Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. [36] If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. James 3:2 KJV For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. You might say it's not talking about those who sin unintentionally but to those who wilfully sin. How do you differentiate wilful versus unintentional sinning? James 4:17 KJV Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. If you commit adultery and you know the commandment that thou shalt not commit adultery and whoever lusts after a woman in his heart already commits adultery, you sin wilfully. Therefore you are convinced of the law as transgressor, therefore you will be judged under the law in the day of judgment. Romans 2:6 KJV Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Who have ears to hear let him hear, Jesus said.
