The Discipline of the Father

www.truthforlife.org || By: Alistair Begg - We might be tempted to associate “the discipline of God” with our earthly fathers, but men at their best are marked by flawed motives and imperfect methods. Alistair Begg encourages us to remember that God’s discipline is perfect: He disciplines His children through trials, in love and wisdom, so that we will be conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus. We should not respond to His discipline with careless indifference or give into the temptation to be overwhelmed by our difficulties. Instead, recognizing that God disciplines us as His beloved children, we can entrust ourselves to the wisdom of His purposes and grow to maturity in Christ.

What Im going through is so tough and so difficult that I just want to encourage anyone to just keep going, keep praying, and God will get you through and it may be hard to understand but God is with you.

Tabitha Nzunza training is a good thing. So is “experiencing” but I much rather by corrected and “”trained” the the Holy Spirit, otherwise I’m just wanting to have a remodel done and not be rebuilt. Sometimes I’ve had problems with certain words because of my association with them but In my “experience” that being “trained” by God has been nothing like “training” I’ve received by my fellow men and women. Just my take. I defiantly don’t mean to offend or invalidate or “correct” anyone. Just expressing an understanding I have based on where I am right now in my growing process in Christ. 🙂

If we sin and we don’t feel remorse he is not disciplining us. If we do not witness when we should and we do not feel remorse he is not disciplining us.

You will recognise it by the help of the holy spirit. True discipline produce good fruits, yeah it's painful - I know but because GOD LOVES US so much, he will lead us into greater purification.
