I've tried! When D'Arcy was still in Smashing Punpkins, she picked a guy who was between one guy and me. Probably because I was still very young or perhaps she wanted to pick a guy. I don't really play electric guitar well so I don't offer myself to be embarrassed. I prefer to enjoy someone who knows and enjoy their instrument. And bands mostly invite guitarist or drummers. But I've sung with local bands many times and I always enjoy it. No pressure, no shame. Of course I always volunteer too for huge international bands if I know the lyrics but I've never been picked.

All of them are awesome. It is so cool that some bands let fans from the audience that know how to play an instrument jam on stage with them during their show. The Eddie Van Halen one is easily my favorite. The guy was scared to death , but still did a great job. I would have been extremely nervous if I tried to play the guitar right in front of the greatest guitar player ever. Rest In Peace Eddie Van Halen!! There will never be another guitar player to change the world like you did.
