I've made a few observations: 1️⃣ Erik ten hag is only 2 seasons in and people have expectations that he challenges for the title next season yet Arteta and Klopp never faced this pressure. Remember we have a squad that needs most of thr players replaced! 2️⃣ The quality of questions in this press conferences is very high. I think the disrespectful journalists should be kept out. Simon particularly I think this is thr second time he's being banned. He doesn't learn. He should be banned permanently so he can stick to twitter. 3️⃣ I get what the Manager is saying that he has to protect Antony by not benching him completely because he will lose confidence. BUT he's avoiding the issue because Antony gets disproportionately more minutes than AMAD. 4️⃣ Marcus Rashford will be the sword on which Erik ten Hag will fall on to his complete destruction. Ten Hag thinks he's special. This is a player who's been here under Manager after Manager. The drop in WORK RATE (not Goals and assists) is the reason he should be gotten rid of. We can't keep this player jus because he's Mancunian born and bred and a product of the academy. Bruno Fernandes puts In more contributions 10* and he's from Portugal.

You are right that there are players at United that pre date Ten Hag and should have moved, years ago (except that no other club would match their ridiculous wages). However, between purchases and loans, Ten Hag has brought in sixteen players. That's, pretty much a full match day squad. They have, mostly, failed and that isn't down to previous managers. He, also, inherited some great young talent and with the exception of Mainoo (who he's had to rely on) and Garnacho (who would still be an impact sub if Rashford had produced this season and Antony got close to justifying the £80+ million fee, Ten Hag pushed to meet, he's not made use of, to protect his own feckless choices (can anyone, honestly say that James Garner was worth sacrificing to bring in Mason Mount for a net loss to the club of some £45m?). Ten Hag is responsible for his own troubles and length of tenure is not an excuse.

When he had the players available last year HE GOT TOP 4 I bet my house that Liverpool wouldn't be up there if they were without Van Dyke since September like Martinez has been been - let alone having up to another 6 defenders missing for some games leading to having to play a Grandad in central defence It's like people are suffering PTSD from the Fergy era the way United are constantly attacked - Liverpool never got this last year yet it's ending pretty much the same

You don't understand why he's saying we are competing for top four if only we had our full squad .... He's being honest about where we are as a club compared to the top three clubs Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City.... And those clubs have managers who were given time to clean up and bring in quality players fitting to their system or style of play and the players they did not want were sellable unlike here at united where, the club is struggling to sell players because of the big contracts players have and because the players are not ambitious enough, they prefer to stay at the club because of the money... Look at Jones... The guy stayed at the club until his contract ran down.. Even Pogba did the same and Matial is the same it has been hard for the club to sell him and Maguire refused to leave. Now tell me.. With the players we have, do you think we can compete and challenge for the league... Look at Tothenham and Aston Villa.. Those teams have quality in defense and in Medfield than us and that's why their managers came in and they were to able to build something special and they are playing good football and guess what with average players, we manage to beat Aston Villa and that tells me that if only the manager can get support from fans and the board, he can give us something to be happy about

Unfortunately for us, Luke Shaw, and Licha Martinez, are two very influential players, and have an accumulative effect on their team mates, making those around play better football, make better tackles, finer passes, crisp movement passing and Rashford is Better when Shaw plays with him, when we see Rashy hitting the defenders, losing the ball, he'd pass to Shaw who who'd swing in a cross, or overlap Marcus, to receive the ball

The man lives in a different world. Fact; from the first game of the season (when injuries were much less), teams have walked through our midfield - he's never addressed this. He, continually, selects underperforming players, like Antony and Rashford. He can't keep claiming that there's a lot of competition in the front line when it's taken 90% of the season to get to a positive goal difference, in the league. Yes, Amad has missed a large part of the season but Pellistri barely got a chance. Even when he, finally, had to drop Antony, the Brazilian is still his go to sub. He's spent around £400m and very little of that has improved the team or even squad.
