    In mechanical engineer, they don’t say “friction is a function of distance,” they say, “I’m switching to civil engineering,” which literally translates to, “I don’t remember where my formulas come from and I’m bad at dynamics,” and I think that’s beautiful. Sincerely, a recent ME grad that really needs to brush up on dynamics before my FE Exam in a few weeks 😬

    Bruh I had a final in electrodynamics where the saddist professor posited a problem of magnetic dipoles that required the expansion of the cosine… to the third term. Yeah, cosine a = 1 - a^2 /2 + a^4 / 4!… and on a final exam no less.
