My ex who was my boyfriend at the time showed this to me and asked “What I thought of it” I said it sounded like a breakup song of two past lovers who met up again after sometime has passed. cheaters are the worst, i am sorry you had one. i dated one who cheated on me among other things (abuse - i was already recovering from abuse when this relationship started too), this was 1-2 years ago and i've been trying to regain my footing ever since. i feel like i am lost and i don't know the way home - i had a rebound but that didn't help, i have a job doing what i love but that hasn't given me rest either, and i see my friends regularly but i am still lost. this song makes me think of who i have become, on the one hand i have made some improvements but on the other i am dead lost, so this song is hopeful but also a bit sad for me
