Mam, in the case of dividends and coupons..when the co. announces.. the fund records them as receivables (Diviend/ coupon Receivable) so there is no impact on the assets of the fund (Investment value decreases to the extent of dividend /coupon and receivables increase to that extent on Ex-date- One asset decreases and another asset rises) and the entry on EX-date is dividend/coupon Receivable A/c dr and dividend Income/Interest Income A/c Cr. so Income statement also gets credited..so profits increase ultimately...which is a component of capital..that means capital also increases to the extent of dividend /Interest.. so finally both assets and liabilities will tally. How NAV IS IMPACTED Mam.?

Dividend will not impact NAV bcoz on exdate we booked as divident as in income receivable... please correct me if am wrong

On ex date the nav will get impacted and no impact on pay date. Yes Nav will decline on ex date.

Thanks for this video really needed this. In case of dividend received , the market price will decrease but we will also record dividend income as well. So, will the NAV still decrease, I think NAV will remain intact. ( please correct me if am wrong) 2. Mam, if one company issues right share and hedge fund chooses to exercise that right then what will the impact on Nav
