Hi Dean, if investor want to buy mutual fund and told the RR that morning since he doesn’t know how much it will be, once the forward pricing are determined, can the investor still back out if he doesn’t want to buy anymore the next day? Thanks!

Hi Dean . I had a question about which would be best for the client to report to IRS in DCA … fifo or I had to pick which date would save the client . Do you have an example of that ? Not sure if my question makes sense lol

You can elect to use average cost or share identification but the IRS will impose FIFO if you can evidence other wise. FIFO most often would result a larger tax because those are typically the shares you have the lower cost basis on.

If the customer has 3 breakpoints but only able to reach 2/3 would they have to abide by the 1st breakpoint or the 1st & 2nd, but not the 3rd?

That is called rights of accumulation. On the amount that crosses the breakpoint on that and subsequent investments they get the reduced sales charge. No rebate on previous purchases.
