I don't understand why Kirkland is on this list? He wasn't cocky duing the build up. Definitely wasn't cocky in the fight itself. It's never been his style to be cocky. Yeah he was confident in himself and what he could do, but what is he supposed to say? "I think Canelo is better than me. I'm just getting in the ring to get knocked out and get paid." Why train a box if you don't think you can win?

I don't know him well, but honestly (based ion what I did see), a lot of his interviews were more interesting than the usual interviews we tend to hear in sports... What I mean is that, due to his willingness to be more honestly forthcoming and open (rather than prudent and purely money-conscious/pc/diplomatic), we were able to hear a few more of his genuine insights about stuff. Sometimes I'll listen to interviews of various sports figures and they will be SO boring and banal that it makes me disengage immediately and flip to watch something else. I just listened to Lennox Lewis the other day talking about this and that and, though he spoke clearly, he offered absolutley NOTHING even slightly illuminating or interesting.
