That scene with Nathan and Elizabeth was everything.Nathan laid it all out.If Elizabeth didn't know how Nathan feels there is no question now.They're feelings for each other is intense.

I've been team Nathan since the start 😭, the fact that she just got on a horse an rode away when he said "Elizabeth I love you", breaks my heart. I started crying! I feel like Nathan feels stronger for Elizabeth and unlike Lucas he isn't so straightforward and obvious. I love how he's kinda shy. I hope she ends up with Nathan, but I still hope Lucas finds his special someone. I'd also love to see a mother daughter type relationship between Elizabeth and Allie. I also feel like Lucas ruins all opportunities for them to get together! Also Nathan saved Elizabeth's life many times. It's clear they love each other. It's been obvious she feels more for Nathan since she ran into his arms when she though he had died. I really hope Nathan, Allie, Elizabeth, and Jack become a cute lil' family! I understand she's worried that what happened to Jack would happen to Nathan but sometimes you just gotta take the risk for an incredible outcome.

In that last scene, Nathan cried out from his heart to tell her he loved her. He was so sincere and heartfelt. He did such a great job expressing his emotions. After seeing that Elizabeth is crazy if she doesn't run into Nathan's arms!

I about fell over when Nathan said he loved her. We have litterly been waiting 2 seasons for either Nathan or Lucas to profess their love! And I have always been on Team Nathan so this made me extremely excited!!! As much as I want Nathan to end up with Elizabeth, I dont want to see Lucas hurt either. I hope that if there is a Season 9 that if Nathan does end up with Elizabeth that Lucas will find someone, and if she ends up with Lucas I hope Nathan finds someone. Still hoping she ends up with Nathan tho.

I have to chuckle when I read the comments that are so rude and hurtful about Nathan and Lucas...Apparently there are a whole lot of people that don't understand actors are given a script they must follow, as well as director's notes that tell them how to act. The writers probably have known for a year or so who they were going to have her Elizabeth choose. For me, I just want to enjoy the story and the entertainment it provides...twists and turns and all. It is a delightful series, and I'm thankful I can sit back and enjoy it without being angry most of the time...Just sayin'...

Besides the storylines aside fr the triangle 🔺️...really resonates with everyday life...why WCTH has so many fans all over the world 🌎...lets sit back and enjoy! Can we *not* be mean towards either guy? Both men are great and kind and handsome. And Elizabeth could be happy with either guy. Just because I am pro-Nathan doesn't mean I am anti-Lucas. :)

Jack once told her, in season 1 that he would not take a promotion and new post, because it would take him away from her. She told him, no “ I can’t let you do that, if you stay, you’ll only end up resenting me” . “ you may not think so now, but you will” She would never let Nathan quit the mounties for her either. It’s part of who he is. The story is so much more than Elizabeth and a mountie! I have always been team Lucas and I can’t wait for more!

Folks, when Nathan says I know you feel that way too, she doesn’t deny it! She runs! It scares her I think because of how she knows deep down how she truly feels!

Yes, she did not say I don't--she said "I can't"--I thought that was very telling. And, I am very hopeful since the kiss did not happen with Lucas. I see Lucas more as a good friend with shared interests. The love connection and chemistry is with Nathan, though.

This episode was my favorite how Elizabeth and little jack looked at a picture of jack.

No way.. Lucas and her smile every time they see each other and have good conversations. Whenever Nathan comes around then Elizabeth has a frown or somber look on her face. Ms. Thatcher is the strong one in the Nathan/ Elizabeth relationship but she can actually let Lucas be the leader. Way healthier relationship with Lucas. Nathan seems weak around her.

Yes , Nathan takes her breath away when she sees him . She’s trying to hide her feelings . When she’s with Lucas she ‘s relaxed , as she would be with any friend . That’s why she only went to dinner with Lucas , and not with Nathan.

Elizabeth is still protecting her heart ❤️ from possible heartache. Her Choices: Choosing someone you like and possibly losing won’t be as painful. Vs Choosing your Love interest and possibly, once again losing someone you can’t live without.

Nathan loves Elizabeth, it will take a while, but in the end they will be together.

And she was on Jack, the Mounties horse.

As a single mom, I it was never about what I wanted. You have to choose who is best for your children. So far the character of the Nathan’s heart is a much more sincere and family worthy then Lucas’ . Nathan is willing to lay his life down for Elizabeth and baby Jack. That’s what a loving momma wants for her child. But I can’t want to see what hands Lucas plays.

Finally, found a comment that acknowledges Nathan as the best Dad for Little Jack. To me, it is painfully obvious that Nathan not only has the experience of being a parent, but actually wants to be a father to Jack. Plus, Nathan obviously loves his niece as if she were his biological daughter. He has never had a child of his very own (at least not that we know of) so that right there reveals a lot about the father he would be to Little Jack. Lucas only started showing a bit more interest in Jack after reading what Elizabeth had started writing in her novel. He also told Elizabeth that he wasn't ready for a family just yet, implying that he wasn't ready to be a father. For me, that would be a "deal breaker". It should have been one for Elizabeth as well if she truly wants who is best for her son. I could see Lucas and Fiona together. Both are buisness minded and would challenge each other beyond just their talents and passions, they would challenge each other's character and integrity as well. I can't say that Elizabeth's character and integrity have been challenged by Lucas, but they have been challenged by Nathan.

Was it because he’s incredibly crazy about Elizabeth and baby Jack or it was it because he lost this round to Nathan. He’s heart is still very much unrevealed

That's what I see. Lucas certainly spends more, but I am more impressed by how Nathan interacts with little Jack. He has already babysat for her, and included him in the date when she didn't have a sitter.

I like it in the episode how Elizabeth and Little Jack looked at a picture of Jack.

That moment made me cry. Elizabeth will always love Jack. Love of her life. Now I feel Nathan is her soul mate. She is going to put her feeling aside for Nate at the moment and go with Lucas because its its safer but ker feelingfor Nathan are going to be too strong and they will end up together.

I do not like the fact that Elizabeth said "you want more than I can give you" and yes this was a heartbreaking scene, but it does remind me a lot of that Carlson and Faith scene where Faith is crying to Carson and saying "there's too much to lose". Right before they got together.

I know she hasn’t technically made her choice, but I don’t see why the writers would put us through this heartache, only to have her go in another direction. It feels like her and Nathan’s relationship is a bubbling volcano about to erupt. It partially did, tonight, we just have to wait for Elizabeth.

Agree. The only thing is they drag the whole thing with Elizabeth and Nathan only to find out in the end it's not him who she will choose. That's what disappoints me the most. Again the reason is to make their viewers be glued to this show. I would rather have a new woman for Nathan not Faith.

Is there something that Nathan's fans would look forward in Season 9 with regards to Nathan's storyline? We just don't want to be disappointed again. I know, I already said I won't watch this series anymore but if the story line of Nathan is wonderful with regards to finding true love to a new woman (not Faith), and raising Allie, then I will consider watching. We love you and we support you as an actor. You did a good job in portraying Nathan. Your emotions and portraying your character touched our hearts. -- Nathan hearties

I was shocked at the ending. It was so powerful! And my heart broke for Nathan. But I have watched enough hallmark movies..to know not to count out Nathan just yet. You never know. This going to be harder than I thought.. I truly love them both.. not just Lucas and Nathan but Chris and Kevin too. They remind me of my BFF and me. I’m kind of shy too but she has this way of bringing out my personality. That’s what I see with the two of you. (It’s called a picnic... Chris laughs & blushes) So I asked myself... who brings out the best in Elizabeth... actually each other really. That’s Lucas. Plus @ChrisMcNally plays Lucas 🤷🏻‍♀️ come on! Ridiculously gorgeous! Truly Lucas is a great person, but he comes like the person she left behind in Hamilton. Whenever I see him he is in suits, cars, wining and dining. Elizabeth grew up with that lifestyle and didn't want to go back. If he would dress a little like he lives in the west then he could fit right in. Nathan is no Jack of course but he is low key like Jack was and I think is what attracting Elizabeth to him although she is scared of the life they can have.

I don't think Lucas makes her heart skip a beat like Nathan does. She doesn't react the same when their hands touch or Lucas leaves a room like she does with Nathan. In one scene, when Nathan left the school house Elizabeth takes a deep breath and you can see a little shiver! That's love when a man can do that to you!

There is no doubt about that. Kevin McGarry runs circles around Chris McNally. Kevin is just naturally gifted in whatever role he plays. Too bad the WCTH writers/producers/Hallmark heads took a wrong turn with season 8. What a disaster. But it's no matter. WCTH will tank in season 9. Kevin carries the show. It sure as heck is not Chris or Erin...because they can't.

Hopefully it doesn't go for too much longer before they reveal who she picks, this is sooooo hard to watch!!

soooo frustrated that there's no way for us in Australia to watch season 7 or 8.....except buy season 7 on dvd and wait until next year to buy season 8. surely there has to be a way? it's not on amazon prime in oz or netflix and we can't access hallmark channel. anyone got any other ideas?

I haven’t watched the second episode of season 8. I was too disappointed with the first one and how horrible Elizabeth treated Nathan. She needs to either say something to take Nathan out of the equation or make some kind of commitment! She’s the one who threw her arms around Nathan last season. It’s not right or fair. Actually it sucks! She’s is so rude towards Nathan. I will watch it in day or two. Not liking this season at all, so far! Not at all.

I completely understand your frustration with the triangle. I am quite frustrated with Elizabeth playing the wo is me card here. However, the rest of the characters and their stories keep this series going for me. I just wish we could get more insight into their characters and what they are thinking through ET instead of just the love triangle. There are so many other stories, characters, and good actors involved with this show. It would be intriguing to hear their thoughts on their character's stories instead of just the love triangle the entire time. I might actually not watch this if it is only going to highlight the love triangle.

If she is scared of her relationship with Nathan then spit it out. But stop twisting it up, making dove eyes at Lucas but making Nathan feel miserable! I don’t like the WCTH writers. I wish Abigale was back into the show, even if they used someone else to play her character! She was such a great part of the original cast. The series sure isn’t like it use to be. That’s sad. Actually I don’t like a lot of the Hallmark movies. They all seem very cookies cutter. It’s like they have lost any heart or point to them. They use to be such great movies years ago. Something with a real story behind them.

@@JesLovsu2 Hallmark has hired a new CEO. That is why the movies are suddenly different. I haven't been watching the new movies, just When Calls the Heart. I can understand the technique behind this love triangle and how John Tinker finished it. Remember, the triangle was Not Tinker's idea. I can understand why he has used the method he has used, I just don't like the triangle period. If she hadn't flirted with both men to start with, it would be different. If she clearly didn't like one of the men at all, it would be fine, but no, she has liked both men and has clearly seen both of them as romantic interests. In works such as Anne of Green Gsbles, Pride and Prejudice, and North and South, the heroine has no interest in man that has taken a sincere interest in her. That is why this triangle formula is not working for me.

When are these two men going to babysit?! That's when the rubber hits the road.

I am Team Nathan. I like Lucas, but I think Nathan is a better fit. I also like the way Nathan reacts better with little Jack. As I see her struggle back and forth with these two suitors it makes me sad because there was no confusion with Jack--when she knew, she knew. He was the love of her life. And though she may love again, it won't be like it was with Jack.

Looks like both guys are about to tell her to kick rocks!! Yikes

I was against Nathan, but as the season has gone on, I am liking him more and more. I just don't see her with Lucas, and I've really tried. I think she will end up with Nathan.

I thought thrb episode was great overall.The negatives were Nathan nagging about that darn dinner.... Learn to read a reaction, Nathan, and also that awful proclamation of love. (well acted just not working for me for where the story is). I am glad to see other people say they didn't feel like the "I love you" was timed well. That isn't something you scream at a person who is telling you she is too afraid of the possibilities with you, but that is another example of Nathan not knowing what to do with his emotions and when. It is why I just can't buy into a relationship between them yet.... It was so unearned. They have spent ZERO alone time together and he is kn love :massive eye roll:. Love the actor. The character is fine, but as a romantic anything, he just is still falling totally flat to me. This might be her next great love?!?! I hope I am not supposed to buying into this baloney, but I fear I am, and this will be the endgame.

And I agree he has been pining for 2 sessions, but that isn't love. Interaction is required for love. One hug does not love make esp when that hug was about Jack as much as Nathan

I predicted this in one of these little trailers or snap shots with music, she couldn’t handle another Jack situation, but that being said it’s too early in the season, there will be more twist and turns, as far as Lucas goes in my book he’s a sneaky sob with 2 different sides of him, good and bad, sort of like Henry, they are birds of a feather, I don’t see Elizabeth wanting that for little Jack, speaking of Jack, for me it’s not the same show without Dan, he and Erin had the chemistry like no other couple ever in my opinion!

@@cjdahlberg5019 CJ, have you forgotten the episode in which Lucas got a phone call from another woman saying they were in danger and Lucas leaves town, then a bad dude shows up in the tavern that Lucas owns, forces Lucas to open a safe full of cash, holds Elizabeth hostage, then takes a shot at Nathan as Bill shows up to save the day and you think he’s a saint and a good match for Elizabeth and little Jack, big Jack must be rolling over in his grave, oh I forgot, life is for the living!

I can't stand Nathan (sorry) but I just think he's not for Elizabeth but you know this is TV so I feel like although she's now dating Lucas she'll end up with Nathan in the end I HOPE I'M WRONG..

Honestly I am here after episode 3, and all I want to say is that these 2 men deserve better then her, she gives advice without taking her own 😐 I am so done with her. There is no longer team Nathan and Lucas, it is now team GET RID OF ELIZABETH

Think saw the promo on Heartland while back, Lou, broke off their engagement, she was still in love with her ex Peter...maybe coz Kevin STILL with WCTH , lead actor , or conflicting filming schedule?

I want Elizabeth to choose Lucas. He has risked himself so much more than Nathan, who is like a statue unable to express emotion. She would be much happier and have an amazing life with Lucas. They would be awesome together in Hope Valley building the community. Lucas loves her so much his main concern is for her happiness. Nathan may Bea good person but not necessarily a better person than Lucas. Can you imagine going fishing on Christmas? That is Nathan’s idea of how to do Christmas?

Love is a new experience to Nathan...but I think he will do great once given a chance. And I think he would make a much better father to little Jack--he already relates to him better than Lucas.

I think Lucas sees her as a challenge his love is nothing like Nathan’s love. She is letting Lucas’ buttering up effect her. Not a good fit!

She has to go with Lucas they make such a cute couple.

If Nathan was not a mountie, she wouldn't be conflicted at all. She only sees Jack in Nathan, nothing more. But she has a real spark with Lucas, like she did with Jack. Lucas is very special!

Pick the Mointy and please let Abigail come back. This is the Valley of second chances. A gorgeous Mounty needs for Elizabeth to give him, even though he's a Mounty, the chance for love with her. He's willing to give up his career for her. Dear Abigail would also be a wonderful addition back on the show. We all need to forgive and not judge her. She took care of it. She's a wonderful actor and an extremely good friend to Elizabeth. If not fit Abigail, she may have been banned from Coal Valley before she was given a fair chance. The burning down of the building she stayed in, on her first night in Coal Valley had the other townsfolk putting her right back on the stagecoach, out of their town. Abigail stood up for her and took her into her own home and even gave Elizabeth some of her clothing to wear. Abigail was also her biggest cheerleader and her first dearest friend. We love Abigail and Nathan and Allie need a kind and caring woman in their life. Allie needs the stability and love of a wonderful stepmother. Elizabeth already loves Allie and Allie already loves Elizabeth. Lucas clearly has great admiration, and maybe even love, for Elizabeth. He's also kind caring and thoughtful of Elizabeth, and very handsome. But Elizabeth needs someone that will ALWAYS be there for her, thinking of Allie AND Jack, as well as Elizabeth. He would sacrifice for the children and Elizabeth and would count himself blessed to have the honor to do so. Lucas is kind and good looking and would be able to BUY Elizabeth anything to make her happy. But the deep love, the kind I feel Elizabeth is truly looking for does wear a red UNIFORM LIKE JACK WORE. I really believe that Jack Thornton would encourage Elizabrth to seriously consider Nathan to help her raise little Jack. He would also have the love of Allie as well as Cody, Abigail son. There would be a lot of love in that little family. Just think Fiona would then be able to explore a flirtation and possible relationship with Lucas. What fun that story line would be. It is Spring after all. Let's all show our support, love and forgiveness for our dear Abigail Stanton, who was one of the strongest women in the show, the glue that held Coal Valley together after the terrible mining accident that took the life of her husband and only child. Several others lost their loved ones as well. Abigail was a wonderful support for all of the people in Coal Valley, eventually becoming Mayor and implementing the name of Coal Valley to Hope Valley. She also adopted Cody and his older sister. Hope Valley needs her compassion, goodness, leadership and love widen back into the show. Maybe Pastor Hogan would then return and give him, Bill and Henry Gowan a chance gor love with one of these men. She was, after all, the

Abigail was the glue that held HOPE VALLEY together. We need to forgive. Forget. And move on. She added a lot to the show. Became Mayor and standing up to the railroad that wanted to make Hope Valley a busy hub, taking away some of the towns property and making Hope Valley more commercialize and losing a portion of Hope Valley to commercial property and possibly to ritraff they wouldn't want. There would be endless story lines that could be written into the show. Pastor Hogan may return and sweep Abigail off her feet I haven't heard of anyone that didn't want Abigail to return. If enough of us let our voices be heard about second chances and forgives, Hallmark would be even more respected for showing that they are willing to forgive abs extend a welcoming hand back for Abigail and Cody. I would love to hear your ideas and comments. Please kero them kind. One could get lost in the gorgeous blue eyes of Nathan Grsnt that really light up when Elizabeth is near. I have great respect for him for taking in his deceased sister's little girl, Allie. He is so patient with her and I believe he would be just as patient with little Jack. Hallmarks ratings for this series I believe would be through the roof with Abigail back on the set. I hope all of us would welcome a second chance if we made a serious mistake. We're not all on the big screen with all of our mistakes, but we each have things in our lives that we need to correct. Holding unkindness in our hearts for Lori won't hurt her. She's paid the price. It will only serve to make our hearts feel hard. Let's unite and support Lori's return. After all, wouldn't you want the same courtesy extended to you? @@jannelson5035 I absolutely agree they need to bring Abigail and Cody back. She was the clue for the town. However I believe Lucas is a better fit for Elizabeth and I do like Nathan especially what he has done for his niece. There are a lot of stories concerning Nathan and Allie that we don't know which would help us understand. I feel Elizabeth will choose Lucas before the end of the seasons and the writers will see how it affects ratings and bringing Abigail back would boost it. A lot of time has been invested in Lucas and Elizabeth to at the last minute give her to Nathan. Lucas has been there for Elizabeth and given her happiness as well as boost for the town. He is kind, considerate, supportive, romantic to Elizabeth. When he is wrong he quickly apologizes. People like Nathan because he is a mountie and feel based on Janette Oke's book that was what is is about but they have deviated from the original. Jack's personality is more like Lucas than Nathan where the love is unconditional. If you have followed the show from S1 you will see the similarities between Jack and Lucas. Nathan became a better parent because of Elizabeth. Because Lucas doesn't have children doesn't mean he wouldn't be a great dad because all great dads didn't have children before the day came.

Absolutely no chemistry at all between them. Would be boring to watch. Lucas is more romantic. That scene should just be the last for them. They should just be friends.

Definitely team Nathan, from the beginning Lucas has been kind of shady, and I don't think she needs shady in her life

Oh, OK. So finally Nathan decides that HE wants to settle down and Elizabeth should just drop everything and commit. Nope. Run Elizabeth, run as fast as you can.

I don't think so. I rewatch season 6 and 7. Elizabeth helped him with Alley. She helped him with his father. He began to have feelings for Elizabeth. The glances they have shared. what people don't realize love comes the simple things you do for the one you love I'm not on anyone team. I like Lucas.
