It was crazy because Arnold was all natural. He might’ve done a little steroids but most bodybuilders that were doing that stuff died before they were 50 and Arnold is almost 80 now.

There are levels to being a bodybuilder. Beginners are smaller and less developed, but they're still doing bodybuilding. So, while they're not professional bodybuilders, I guess you could still say they're novice bodybuilders... we all start somewhere

But, I guess the term bodybuilding can loosely describe the activity of using resistance training to gain muscle. Even if you aren't a bodybuilder. Some male gymnasts are more jacked than some competitive bodybuilders. I guess there's a grey area?

People don’t realize how many years these men worked at hard to get the body in that physique, and that will definition I salute all the bodybuilders for all your time, and effort that you put into there, become the gods you are 🫡💯🎯

But people also don't realize that there are many dedicated hard working lifters (probably 10 for every one of these guys) for years that do not look anything like these guys. They are in great shape for their own God given genetics, but are not gifted with these top 1% body building genetics. Credit to everyone who works out diligently and watches diet regardless or not if you look anything like the genetic freaks.

@on not necessarily, i've been going to gym lately and there are lots of great looking guy (purely physically speaking) that don't breathe confidence at all, i guess some (or most) are just way too concerned about how other people perceive them which is ironically the reason they've been going to gym in the first place

Really motivational stuff to see other people admire your body and hard work. That's what made me to start my transformation about a year ago. Firstly I got a meal plan from Next Level Diet and started doing some exercises at home. My friends and family were making fun of me, thinking I will give up. But day after day, meal after meal, I managed to do it. I lost 120 lbs thanks to my diet and dedication and I'm feeling a lot happier now. I am finally ready to start living my life to the fullest.

I have always been very fit and have worked out regularly since I was 16 years old. I am 60 years old now and still in great shape. I remember being in a gym once about 20 years ago and I caught a glimpse of a guy who had what I believed to be the perfect body for a male. It took me a few seconds to realize that the guy was me, and I was looking at myself through an angled mirror. Was one of the happiest days of my life:).

I’ll never forget being at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk when I was 13. There were guys walking around with their shirts off and they looked pretty good. Then two of the biggest Samoan guys I’ve ever seen showed up. These two dudes dwarfed every other guy there. Guys were turning away from them as these guys passed by. They stopped at the food stand we were sitting at and I ended up asking them some questions about how much they could lift. I don’t remember what they said. I just remember being in awe of their size and the fact they actually spoke to a skinny little kid. Super chill dudes.

Nonsense, here in the states the Samoans that first arrived in the L. A scene before our own government captured their land. Half their people went to Europe, the Samoans here are a family gem, they stick up by each other if you was to take one on fist to fist. As soon as you get veiny arms people are going to take notice. I'm not the biggest guy but I'm lean and ripped and people cannot stop gawking a the arms when I speak to them with a tank top on. But the thing is, it's not a friendly stare....it's more like of envy and jealousy unfortunately.

@@CJTranceAddiction People get envious because they know they should be doing something but aren't. Those already training will be inspired and happy for you. I noticed that after a friend started training (I gave him my weight set) he started talking about how strong I looked.

I'm a guy and when I worked out in a gym in the 90s, the only looks of admiration and / or positive comments I got was from other guys. Never from women. For the most part, women at my gym were really serious and solely focused on their own exercises. Only once did I see a woman admiring a guy who was working out, He was doing pull ups at the time.

Not a comp bodybuilder like Arnold or Ronnie (Didn't want to use roids) but looked like a few of these other guys in the pictures. Women automatically figured if you spent all day in the gym you're an asshole. We are talking women (30+) the only chasing I had were married women type stuff with kids (not going to be THAT guy) single women were more interested in how much money you had, social status, or cool gimmick BS-even if a loser, than physique. You do attract jealousy from idiots, drunks wanting to fight in bars, Gays trying to hit on you. Meeting dream women NO you still must meet those other requirements of fame and fortune.

Women are more subtle. They master the art of using peripheral vision. If you use yours, you’ll catch a lot of them checking you out.

It was ~500 pounds actually, roughly 270 kg. The commentator is probably American, and doesn't know the difference between lb and kg. 😉

These guys look natural as well which makes a refreshing change. It would be diabolical to think otherwise. They train hard and sleep hard.
