That fish looking at you funny, I think it tries to protect it’s eye from the sun. I’ve been thinking alot about this. Fish have no eyelids and in the water sunlight is very attenuated. When we fish catch and release we want good pictures and turn towards the sun. There’s no way the fish’s eye is not damaged severly by that, it might even make them blind. They’re used to very attenuated sunlight and here we take them out of the water and puts their eye directly towards the sun. We all know how it feels to look directly towards the sun just for a fraction of a second, and fish can’t even protect themselves with eyelids. Fantastic channel BTW.

Hi mate , lm new to your channel and have to say I love the content and type of small creek jack and barra fishing you do. I know you've been asked the rod and reel set up already but if possible like more detail. Obviously your running a dobyns rod but what model? And is that a diawa zillion HLC reel if so what is the actual model ? I also choose to use a dobyns fury 663c rod and the diawa HRF pe reel which is great but looking for another rod and reel set up and up the qty and wanting to cast lighter plasti s and hard body's like you do.
