Stephane Grappelli and Lonnie Donegan?? As a kid, I used to love this show but, now, as an adult I can really appreciate the calibre of entertainment they had on a regular basis. Also, I didn't realise how good Bernard Manning's voice was.
This Is The Best Entertainment ever (old school) nowadays not much comes close to this please wind the clock back 🇬🇧👍🏻❤️
Wonderful to see these classic shows again; it's like having a time machine. Much appreciated. First time I've seen the Wheeltappers in colour!
Tony Brutus was a fabulous dead pan comic as well as being phenomenally strong !, R.I.P my friend
Well done Julie,,brilliant and bought back some old memories
Man - this takes me back - "On behalf of the commitee, we av passed a resolution..."
Fair play, Bernard Manning could really sing

Yes and a great comic too!
Granada Television put a lot of effort into making their studio look and feel like a working mens club. Viewers always comment that they were surprised to learn that it was in fact the main entertainment studio at Granada in Manchester.
High quality entertainment this is. Thanks for posting.
Colin Crompton had the Birch and Bottle pub in Higher Whitley, Cheshire, where some of the Coronation St cast were regular visitors.
Used to watch this with my parents eating fish and chips ah the good old days

In those days when fish and chips were affordable, not a luxury, they are today
I used to watch this as a nipper round at my Great Aunt's on a Saturday night. VERY fond memories invoked, thank you for this!
This is incredible! Lonnie Donegan!
THanks Thanks for it all.

What’s really telling, and leads on from that comment, is that Terri Rogers was trans. But that didn’t form any part of the (brilliant and hilarious) act and, ultimately, no one cared. Because the acts were there to entertain and that was all.
Brilliant, thank you for posting.

Wheres the Tony Christie one gone??... And yes Bernard Manning pitched a perfect American artist jazzy blues crooner.. like pitch perfect, chops and tecnique
❤️ Julie Thank you
Bernard is a better singer than most of the acts
More episodes please
Have you got episode 5? With George melly, it got taken down...such a shame
And isn't that Jimmy Hill on guitar?
These were the days when political correctness didn't even exist not like today and everybody was your friend
15:06 I think they just did just to do a flyover
A very strong show. Stéphane Grappelli was good, as was the ventriloquist. And it's good to see Little and Large from the days when they were funny and making their name. I have no idea what Lonnie Donnigan was thinking of with that ridiculously overblown act he put on, though. It was like being assaulted. Not remotely engaging.
in the club british drama tv series please
Reminds me of the working mans club in Bletchley.
Harry Redknap on bass??
show MR GUITAR BERT WEEDON.
Lonnie Donnigan was terrible! Love the ventriloquist though!
Stephane Grappelli and Lonnie Donegan well . Sorry Lonnie not good, but Stephane . Oh yes!
Before the nanny pc state ruined it

@@markofsaltburn Yeah, the IBA imposed prize limits. That's why you saw cheap cars and speedboats on Bullseye and trips to Yugoslavia on The Golden Shot.

You don't get it. The whole idea of the show is tongue in cheek. Mr Chairman ie Colin Crompton is meant to be crass and cringeworthy. This is how these clubs were back in the day.....Oh those cringeworthy 70s :)
