Thank you for these very useful videos. I just subscribed! I have a Tilite rigid manual wheelchair and need to push out my wheels farther away from my chair. So, I'm thinking about replacing my zero-play camber tubes with a titanium one and add some spacers. Can you please make a video on how to replace the camber tubes? I'm not sure how to make sure the camber stays true without causing toe-in or toe-out. Thank you!

Good stuff bud. What kind of push rim and tires are you using there, they look pretty slick

Thanks! They're the new spinergy TC Stainless Steel handrims. Not sure how I like them yet. Only used a few days a while back and quit using to keep them looking new until after the wedding. Lol They're definitely different than the natural grip ones. Guess we'll see. Plus I usually use Primo V-Trak knobby tires but decided to try Schwalbe one more time. First set years ago lasted no time. 🤞

How do you like your hand rims? I’ve got titanium ones, and they’re unfortunately reacting with my skin turning my hands black. I’m looking at getting a set of the TC

Hey Steve, this is Doug. I think you'll be happy with a set of TC.

How do you like your handrims. I have limited grasp in one hand. Are they slippery. I saw they had a texture on them. Thanks

Switched to the TC Max stainless and like them more than the regular TC Stainless ones because they are shaped like the natural fit hand rims but are textured and stainless.

Do you or anyone you know go bowling in a wheelchair? To do that, you would need to remove the hand rim easily on the wheel side of your throwing arm. My brand new (less than one mile on it) chair has similar wheels with hand rims like this in the video, but my tires are solid which are almost impossible to easily remove. Any ideas other than buying another wheel with an alternate rim mount?

I've went bowling many times but have kept both handrims on. Do you bowl on a league or often enough to justify removing it? Or getting another wheel? Because it would be a pain to take on and off frequently.

@@WheelchairLiving1 I bowled in a league more than 20 years ago, but stopped when Navy deployments prevented me. I became disabled very slowly, and just a couple days ago I got my first wheelchair, I asked for a removeable rim, and was not given it. I have a twin brother who has bowled all his life, and has the same progressive disability. He wasn't active duty, he never stopped bowling, and gradually modified his approach until a few years ago, he got a wheelchair, and is part of the AWBA as the the newly elected secretary. His chair has removable rims, just six screws, can do it while seated. He's visiting this week in anticipation for a Wheelchair Bowling tournament near where I live, and I was going to attend, and maybe bowl some. My experience in this brand new chair is so little, and every time I tried to throw, the ball hit the rim. One game with 17 gutter balls, and two lucky rolls that stayed on the lane and put ten in the pit. My score of 20 compared to my brother's 160 isn't very encouraging. The tournament starts this Friday so I don't have much time to come up with a solution, but I have been to three of his tournaments so far, gotten to know a lot of the other wheelchair bowlers and maybe one of them can figure out a solution, other than letting me borrow their other wheel, remove the rim on it, for the tournament, but take it back after. Getting another wheel would be out of pocket, since what have is too new to be replaced.
