I can’t wait until I get my R.S. back. Had to let it go early last year as things were kicking off. I had a 2018, just love the face lift version. Weirdly enough I see these cars as rare because I only see 2 going around my area. Plus they are like sleepers and under rated.

They are so much better mate. Absolutely!

Standard RS Phase 2s have a slightly bigger turbo, different mapping on engine and gearbox and I’ve heard the standard RS phase 2 actually puts out the same the 220 of the Trophy. Rolling road tests seem to confirm this.

Yeah these are both trophys, my phase 1 along with 1 other i know of made 260+ with just bolt on mods and map (without a hybrid turbo) the phase 2 is standard. As for power output i've never seen a 200 dyno the sams numbers as a trophy, neither standard or mapped. Mapped i haven't even seen a 200 break 250...

I've been interested in this as I have a phase 1. Edit: this makes me worried my car has either been in an accident in the past or has had bits changed. I have a phase 2 headunit and shifter, but the rest of my interior is phase 1. The wheels, front trim, and lighting is all phase 1 however I have a phase 2 rear bumper with the akropovic unit. Seems I have some investigating to do...

Maybe mate! It may have just been the previous owner preferred some of the other parts, I've seen multiple people running the phase 2 front bumper and DRLS on their phase 1

If you are going to compare exhausts and interior differences, IMHO it'd be far better to have demonstrated both exhausts & then show/compare the differences of the dash and other controls side by side. As it is, I've no idea what phase 1 sounds like nor what it's dash & interior controls look like. Good concept though, just comparing different versions of the same car.

As far as exhaust comparison, as i was running aftermarket and the LY one had a standard akra it wouldn't have been an apples to apples if you get me? Appreciate you checking out the vid though!

Its fine mate yeah, still a great car. You'll still get the cup chassis etc but won't make as much from mods and mapping etc.

Seria muito bom se no Brasil tivesse essa versão esportiva, tanto 1.6 turbo, 1.6 ou 2.0 R.S, o que temos no mercado brasileiro é apenas o "clio comum 1.0" que não chega nem perto desse modelo forte e bonito, acredito que se não fossem os covardes políticos corruptos que temos nessa nação com tantos aumentos de impostos/taxas/desvios de verbas públicas, estaríamos com modelos de carros mais interessantes assim como é no mercado europeu, sou dono de um clio 2015/2016 e tive que fazer diversas melhorias no design dele pra ficar um pouco próximo do design esportivo europeu e obviamente não fiz nada em relação ao motor fraco 1.0, pois ficaria muito caro pra mudar tantos detalhes e ter finalmente um hatch esportivo forte e bonito.

The worst thing about this car is it is near impossible to keep the back clean. Mine kicks up so much dirt

You think people would want to see that!? Would be no contest performance wise but could be interesting to see interior differences etc...

Phase 1 with just the phase 2 headlights and tail lights. The Drl in the bumper looks better than the fog lights.

Good video man! Even with the YL having the Akra exhaust, yours sounds better imo. Do you happen to know much about the center silencer delete I think it's called? Heard you can get a better sound from the standard exhaust whilst keeping it MOT and insurance friendly. Is it just a matter of taking it to a garage and getting it smashed out? Not too clued up on those types of things, so wanna know what I'm talking about before I get it done! Mines a phase 2 trophy if that makes any difference. Cheers!

Cheers man! And yeah mate its that simple. You don't have it smashed out, it will be cut out and replaced with a simple pipe with the same diameter, and welded obviously. It can make things a little louder without the res, how loud I don't know. My exhaust is fully legal btw, and still has its cat so coasts through an MOT

my mates got a centre silencer delete and it changes that car, probably the best value for money mod u can do on these (if ur not up for getting a cat back / full system)

@@h67_ for sound sure, but the less restrictions you have means more performance essentially, so i tried to be slap bang in the middle, maximum performance without it being too much.

@@h67_ great bit of kit those GT performance pieces mate. No res MIGHT make it a bit droney on longer journeys. Try find someone whos already got one to make sure, thats why i kept a res but got rid of the backbox

Hey mate, all depends what they can hold... I've seen slip in all ranges, some quite low, some quite high... Mine was 366nm's with no issues, any decent tuning company will dial in the torque safely so you have no issues or slip. Don't forget to subscribe my guy!

That was my plan dude... But where we normally do speed runs was absolutely FULL of scrap. Someone had dumped metal, wood, old sofas etc it was an absolute mess! Its on the cards don't worry!
