Start saving my friend any dollar u can vet school is very very expensive no one really guided me through that ! There are scholarships but they don’t pay the full route and u don’t wanna take out a loan 😢

This video helped me so so so much! Thank you for all this info. I’m an incoming freshmen this year, and I’m majoring in biology. I figured that’d be the best route to take in becoming a vet, and as far as knowledge I had no clue what exact classes I needed to take. I was feeling quite discombobulated but oh my goodness this video has really set a much clearer path for me. I now can visualize how I can titter my class schedule as well as what books I should purchase in the future. Again thanks for this video and amazing advice!

Thank you a lot for this video! I am Brazilian so we go straight to vet school after high school because most of us learn AP Biology, Biochemistry and Genetics at high school, but I also feel very unprepared to deal with the reality of studying to be a doctor, so I needed to know what subjects to study just for the sake of my insecurities hahahahaha. Your channel is amazing 💖💖

I’m trying to study veterinary in the U.S.A (I’m Brazilian) and I just saw a course called Animal and Veterinary Sciences at the Clemson University, is this a good bachelor to do before vet school or do you think zoology or maybe biology is better? im still trying to understand how everything works, because is way different here. Hello doctor lindsey. I'm a nigerian. I studied Animal health in nigeria. Do I still need to do the pre vet courses in college or I can go into Vet school?

i took a&p junior year of hs and had to memorize and dissect every bone, muscle, and tissue in the body it was rough

Sooo so rough. I recommend definitely going into the lab as much as you can or finding some tools that mimic the structures your studying. But don’t worrry, anatomy is a rough one for EVERYONE!

genuine question here! i am in 11th grade and the vet school i plan on requires algebra, Pre-calculus, and calculus, but i am currently taking calculus, and they also require medical terminology but I've taken medical terminology in 10th grade already, would i need to re-take those courses in College again?

Great question, you would need to make sure if it’s AP credits that those will transfer to a undergraduate transcript. If it’s not AP and just regular high school classes, then yes, you’ll need to take it again.

I have a few questions. Are you able to do your pre requisition classes online in order to get into Vet school ? What vet school did you go to ? Or do you know any vet schools to recommend?

Any vet school is a good vet school. I completed my pre-reqs at Michigan State (home university)!

You can take multiple classes per semester! As much as you can/want to.

Great question! After your 4 years of undergrad, you have to apply to veterinary school and complete 4 years in that program. The FIRST step is completing high school, then you go to collage undergraduate program, there's no jumping from high school to vet school, at least not in North America.

I stated in the video, I completed a total of 4.5 years for my undergrad degree. But you should aim to do well in every class! It helps your GPA but do ESPECIALLY well in your pre-req science courses you need to get into vet school. ☺️

I chose bachelor of science in medical technology and I can't change or choose prevet courses :,) Is it okay for vet school?

You can take anything you want technically! As long as the pre-reqs are done.
