But like no dude, you are not the one chosen guy who is some empathic wiseman sage able to predict the future, and just because you are semi self aware about how you come across like a jackass crank doesn't actually make you any less of a jack ass crank. Regarding that bit about loneliness, I remember the part that alarmed me rather than the lack of people having sex, was the number of people who say they have no close friends. Every youtuber providing commentary online seemingly jumped on the lack of sex part. Whereas I'm sat there thinking "Who are you supposed to have sex with, and how are you going to meet people to have sex with, if you have no friends?" Like there's this fuckwit idea that seems to be going around that getting laid will address someone's loneliness whereas it seems more like people aren’t getting laid BECAUSE they're lonely.

@DMHR100 there are some differences between male and female brains. However, they're not super crazy differences, and if you've ever actually interacted with a wide range of people of both genders, you'd realize the differences are pretty subtle. Atleast, they're subtle if they're true. The idea that there's any difference at all between the two has come under scrutiny and been debated for a long time now. One of the critiques and challenges to the idea is that long standing different culture norms/ expectations for the two genders have shaped these differences. Men have always been expected to be better at things like math, and for a long time, women were outright prevented from divulging in advanced mathematics. Meanwhile, women have always been expected to be nicer and more sociable, considering the home keeper and mother role which they have historically been designated, even if they didn't want those roles. So in conclusion, there's a division in academia over whether the idea is actually true or not. However, most research has shown that there are **some** differences in male and female brains structure, and that's likely the cause for the subtle behavioral differences between men and women.

The impact of education and experience on battlefield success has actually been tested on a few occasions. The 77th Infantry Division during WW II was an explicit experiment that demonstrated the superior performance of experienced (life in general and not service) and educated soldiers. There was also a post war analysis of the survivability of Second Lieutenants during firefights in Vietnam. Despite the same training, college educated junior officers survived longer.

@@falloutjustcause the sticking point will definitely be the definition of professional soldier/army. I would tend to agree that professional soldiers have generally been well educated, but, depending on the exact historical period or type of conflict, the percentage of professional soldiers compared to the total number of people fighting could be quite small. For example, before WW I, England had an aristocratic officer corps resulting in low quality officers, poorly trained troops and inefficient bureaucracy. During WW II, a lot of soldiers were conscripted. After WWII, most countries transitioned to a professional and volunteer military because the costs of a standing army were outweighed by the advantage of professional soldiers.

Actually that that his views and situation are alarmingly common seems salient enough. The left can't conduct a conversation about topics it can't engage with, one is anti-natalism, it can't disengage denials of racist theorycraft from genuine questioning if environmentalists have walked into some kind of Malthusian trap, which really isn't a paranoid question in the slightest with anti-human "green" styles well in place on the left. Pseudoholy how-dare-you-even-ask handwaves aren't going to hold back suspicions from increasingly extreme humanist atheists upon increasingly extreme environmentalist atheists. Look at it like this: delete all identarian elements from the equation and leave just money, assume the various identities work it out and we get back to the moment of Occupy Wallstreet was at before the SJW false flag arrived. It becomes a conflict about wealth, childbirth and the future of Earth that absolutely nobody is ready for and there's his Final Conflict, freed from his youth and his neurosis.

As a sinologist I can tell you that, the Chinese emperor was often very much aware of the revolutions and invasions, even the invasion of the northern Song dynasty by the mongols. That was an invasion that was only 100km long. That is practically nothing on horse back. But the army generals and the emperor knew it, but there were still nothing he could do, because the Northern Song was purely focused on culture, science, legal studies and trade, they barely had a military. So they could not do anything. That is 1000 years ago.

E1‐Private E2-Private second class E3-Private first class E4-Specialist/Corporal E5-Sergeant E6-Staff Sergeant E7-Sergeant first class E8-Master Sergeant/ First Sergeant E9-Sergeant Major O1-Second Lieutenant O2-First Lieutenant O3-Captain O4-Major O5-Lieutenant Colonel O6-Colonel O7-Brigadier General O8-Major General O9-Lieutenant General O10-General of the ARMY (This is not the literal head of the ARMY) Theoretically you can do all of enlisted ranks without college, however higher education makes you a better prospect for promotion so it's not uncommon uncommmon even as low as E4.

I'm also pretty sure that we are on our way to a hot Civil conflict in the US with essentially no way to avoid it at this point. We are to divided as a people while our politically backed social caste system of government sponsored monopolies has spun way, way to far out of control for far to long. With a Gini-Coefficient of 0.40 or greater for over 20 years, something no world leading empire in recorded history has ever managed to pull off, we have been teetering on this balance beam since 2015, and it has only gotten worse. Trump did not fix anything in this regard, he made it worse. Biden has not fixed anything nor has he been blocked in his _valiant_ attempts, he hasn't even tried which has in turn, made things even worse, all the while the media and other corporate and government sponsored mouthpieces chant their encouragement for us to point the fingers at one another instead of looking at what is actually causing the fractures in our country to grow in both depth and number. Is the US _fixable?_ Of course, but it would take numerous huge changes, from stronger social programs to fair tax law. To the abolition of no fault divorce, or at the very least treating it like the legal contract it is, to rolling back lobbying laws to the 1950's and antitrust/anti-monopoly policies like those enforced to break up Standard Oil, the Railroads, AT&T etc. while not allowing the ultra wealthy to transfer US jobs overseas en-masse without some type of financial disincentives. Things like the medical and pharmaceutical industry should not be giant subsidized for profit industry, and if they want ridiculous sums of money from citizens via government then they need to be treated like non-profits *OR* fund everything themselves. Patent law reform...my goodness I could go on ages. Whatever the case, the US is broken at so many levels right now it is appalling. Growing up in the 1990's, in one of the 100 most dangerous cities in the US, we are objectively so much more prejudiced towards others now than at any other time in my life, and the majority of it at an anecdotal level is not directed towards minorities. Instead it is more of like an old grudge with an eye for an eye mentality which can be incredibly frustrating for someone like myself who is of mixed heritage. When it comes to education being _"captured"_ by the left, well it's kinda always been that way, at least in the sense that colleges, for the most part typically tend to be far more liberal than the general populace. Fortunately, for the first time in the country's history, we really don't have any tragedies happening which other generations had to deal with. There is no World War. There is no Korean or Vietnam War. Poverty is not the same as it was 50 years ago, as though the divide is far larger, the effects are far less intolerable *as a whole.* Yes, we still have homeless and people in jail for non-violent drug crimes which is beyond absurd from where I am looking at things, but we also have obese homeless getting well over 2K calories per day, which was not really a thing at any other point in history. Still not nearly good enough though, as when 10 people literally have enough money to build/buy their own space ships while over 50% of the country cannot afford a new car, something is inherently broken. When women believe they are safer with a bear in the woods than a random man; wtf? That mindset doesn't take root on it's own, and far fewer people are enduring anything close to the hardships of the past, as we live in the least likely time ever to be the victim of any type of violent crime. Again, I grew up in one of the 100 most dangerous cities in the country and have only been jumped 7 or 8 times, and have have only had to fight on an individual level 50 or so times. That might seem like a lot now, but go back 100 years and it is a relatively small number. I've only lost 7 friends/family to street violence, and none in the last decade. None. Yelling at people is considered assault if it scares the other person...that is a pretty darn safe society, and we can only bubble wrap things so much. This relative safety with no real cause and an ever growing lack of control because government and business have worked hand in hand to control mobility, specifically upward mobility has somehow gotten us here. I wish I had all of the solutions, and again, I firmly believe that enforcing antitrust law, removing corporate money from government, writing a tax code that makes sense in which people only have to file if they think they should be getting deductions they are not, eliminating no fault divorce in it's current form, adjusting custody law to represent the more egalitarian age we reside in, and strengthening our social safety nets would go a long, long way. The wealthiest countries in the world should not have 4 people account for 30% of the nation's wealth. I should not pay a lower percentage in net taxes while making 3x more than I did in 2020. Would I have a little less money? Yep. Would I be opposed to it? Nope, and yes, I would vote to take money out of my own pocket in that case because we are at a point where it isn't just the morally right thing to do, but I sincerely believe that the ultra wealthy are going to basically force everyone to lose almost everything as they are unwilling to give up a _little._ I say a "little" in relation to total wealth, as a little to me 10 years ago was $20 bucks, while it is a heck of a lot more than that now, and I would assume a "little" to Jeff Bezos is more than I will make over the course of my life, at least in the sense of how paying that amount would affect his every day life whereas it would make a huge difference to millions of people nationwide.

Footnote on your point on re-enactors at the start, I will say though, despite Historical Re-Enactment being very nerdy, it does separate itself from the fantasy LARP in the sense that it actually tries to achieve something. - In Europe it has a long standing following of people dedicated to educating the public on our past and culture. There are a lot of families and couples who engage in it as a way of doing historical research and physically showing that to others, especially in the UK where there's a huge amount of Viking, Norman and Anglo-Saxon finds, which people then recreate, wear and use. In the UK, a group built a whole shipyard, functional longhouse, moat, wooden palisade, and blacksmith, which they use quite a bit and run shows out of now and then. - Even create functional, accurate (as we are allowed to make), longboats and row them occasionally. (I may be one of these people.)

That’s mean. Fredda would have to be really drunk to be on WIAH’s level lol. Also, I don’t think Fredda could deal with the foolishness that long without liquor.

There’s nothing to gain. WIAH would bring up a point, that point would get thoroughly dismantled because it’s all vibes and Spice based, then he’d swap to a new point (maybe conceding or partially conceding the previous point), and the cycle would repeat.

The lack of sex can be easily explained by saying the economy is fucked and the young don't have enough time, money and energy. Which can all be shown by young people abandoning pubs due to cost.

I love the idea of saying that the Soviets were "larping" revolution. They killed the old leaders, fought an extremely violent civil war against counterrevolutionaries who were received both foreign weapons and troops for aid, and they industrialized an agricultural nation in just 9 years (the first 2 5-year plans). It seems to me that they actually did do a revolution, regardless of how a person calling it "larping" feels about that revolution. If they're referring to the Bolshevik party "larping" before the actual revolution started, that also seems silly. They were outlaws who robbed banks and distributed works advocating revolution. What more could they have done before the rest of the people joined them?

I find it interesring that Whatifalthist listes a Strength of the Left that the vast majority of the richest countries are Left. I mean, if that were true, shouldn't that tell him something about the Right and economics?

To answer your question on 10:00 there are two different classes within the military. The officers and the enlisted(not getting into the weeds on warrent officers), All officers are college educated but enlistees don’t have to be but the higher the rank in enlisted the more likely youll be college educated as fun fact military education can be used as college credit. Also just more encouraged as the enlistee makes E-6 and up.
