@@hughw2377 anyone can represent a country even if it’s not their home/birth country as long as they win the national selection. 2 American artists were with Bulgaria in 2018, the person representing Estonia in 2019 is Swedish, Eleni Foureira is Albanian born in Greece but represented Cyprus + there’s much more. They just don’t get noticed because most times they share the same features as the country they represent (skin, hair colour etc). I hope that helped xx

Flo Rida I feel like is one of those 2000’s and 2010’s hitmakers that fell off tremendously, didn’t really have any fanbase, and didn’t have any personality that showed through the music. But he was still a hitmaker, with memorable bops that ppl still remember.

to clarify many slaves throughout history & today are paid tho, it's a misconception. Slavery is just when a human is property to a person/system and it's difficult for them to leave, sharecroppers are an example. This probably did take him down tho, because the conditions do share similarities to slavery

I miss Flo Rida. He always had the best upbeat party songs.

Todd in the Shadows made a point in his video on MC Hammer’s The Funky HeadHunter album. He said that, during his prime, Hammer was the ‘90’s Flo Rida: big hooks but mostly forgettable lyrics. With Hammer, everyone knows the sample of U Can’t Touch This and maybe the choruses of songs like 2 Legit 2 Quit and Addams Family Groove (both of which were actually bigger hits than U Can’t Touch This). With Flo Rida, you remember the choruses/hooks of songs like Low, Right Round, even I Cry or Whistle, but can anyone name any of the lines in the verses without looking them up on Google? It’s telling that Kesha, who sang part of the chorus of Right Round, ended up having the longer career than the lead artist of that song.

Unlike Hammer, Flo Rida has many number one hits but most people know him as the "Shorty Got Low Low Low" song.

The fact that he represented San Marino in Eurovision and still ended up in one of the last places despite the song being a bop. The performance didn’t make justice to the song imo.

Yes but you have to consider this was a European audience watching in the year 2021 most of the contestants that go are usually local celebrities in their own countries and maybe even the ones surrounding them take hurricane who represented Serbia they were one of the most well known artists there and were known all throughout the balkans from Slovenia to turkey thats a lot of ppl who are going to know them and possibly feel more of an encouragement to vote måneskin who won the contest were worshipped in Italy years before it as one of their best bands with that skill and reputation they got their votes and won so how on earth would you expect an American,even a famous one for that matter to do good when he has to compete against that

His music is definitely nostalgic. Reminds me when I was younger and had a carefree fun image of the world. I checked in on him on a song he made a few years ago and it felt like an early 2000's music video with the song barely being actually his. It felt so dated. Also someone mentioned he doesn't want to see his disabled son and he said some vile shit about him

THANK YOU I just commented this. f him and his music idc if you wanted the child or not. The child did not ask to be here, it takes two to tango (unprotected). Not every woman can be paid off to not have a baby some women want to have the child it’s a different bond once they grow inside of you. It’s not like he doesn’t have the money to pay CS, the mother of the child said he barely pays medical expenses and just simple bills for the child like special education. Flo Rida took the Eurofandom by storm when even rumors were going around about his involvement. They didn’t get the best result at Eurovision which shocked us too but perhaps the idea of seeing an American artist at Eurovision (again) turned them off. American artists at Eurovision has never been well received by the fandom.

He had a hit last year called Adrenalina with Italian superstar Senhit, which he competed in Eurovision with for San Marino, but I don't think it helped his career since Senhit outperformed him and everyone loves her now, he was a bit stale in comparison :/ it was nice of Senhit to do charity work though :)

I had to come back to this vid to say that I just went to a Flo Rida concert and it was great. Depsite him him being past his prime, and also him preforming at a small college, he had a lot of energy, engaged with the people who came to see him, and was all together a great show.

Honestly, how could you not talk about Eurovision? I get that you are American, but damn. His feature in San Marino's song was iconic, even if it did not really give him success in the contest.

Kesha being the best artist that money can’t define her success but she deserved to be paid atleast m. This is not charity

I love Kesha, but seeing that she was so nonchalant about not getting paid was a little disturbing. I think she's an artist that really sees her music as a part of her, so she'll sing cause it's her passion, but I wish she had understood that the music industry is a BUSINESS. It’s weird because they have such a huge, yet limited impact. If folks aren’t going to the top 40 clubs or listen to top 40 radio, they don’t know many of their songs.

One of my favorite songs Craig David did was Addicted with DJ Assad, Mohombi, and Greg Parys, who all are also underrated

Flo Rida was a really needed wave back during the early 2000's I loved a lot of his music when I was a kid but I think by like 2015-2017 that's when he fell off completely.

Underrated rap in my opinion

He did compete/have a guest appearance at Eurovision 2021.

The thing is the music your born into will never die… Like ever!! It’s your generations and the Artists connection! 80s music still played by those who where born and inspired by it.. Newer music will always be played with this generation I will always enjoy Low Wild One and Round Round because it’s my Generation no matter what year it is

I lived at the same building as this guy for over a decade. He’s a chill dude , always squadded . He certainly lives the way you’d expect . But always a decent quiet homey he’d give me a fist bump in the lobby .

Honestly I’m down for a flo ride come back lol he was fun for his time and I think a little nostalgia could be good for the music industry 🤷🏾‍♂️

He still performed at the biggest music competition in the world last year, so he hasn't gone much under the radar yet i guess
