I know this is all for comedy but I love Burzum because the music is hauntingly beautiful and atmospheric haha, and I really enjoy the folklore/fantasy elements to it. And can't forget the memorable riffs. Is Burzum my favourite BM band? .... hard to say 🤔 it was definitely my first BM band I heard and it's special to me, got me way more into metal than I was previously, but there's a TON of other amazing BM bands too.

Yikes, well, my favourite black metal bands would have to be Bathory, Venom, and Darkthrone, so I guess that makes me old! Haha! (I am turning 46 later this year...) Although I don't only listen to metal (and neither does Fenriz, for that matter); during my commutes to work this week, I've been playing 60s psychedelic rock (It's A Beautiful Day, The Growing Concern) and psytrance (Alien Project). I also have a great fondness for Mayhem (I wear my "Deathcrush" hoodie all the time!), Emperor ("In The Nightside Eclipse" will always be a special favourite of mine in particular), Gorgoroth, Immortal (but I mean, come on, how could anyone not like Abbath?), and Burzum (you also ought to include Hellhammer / Celtic Frost on here, my friend; they were one of the black metal pioneers, and an enormous influence on Darkthrone for example). Thank you for the fun video!

I'm 20, and my fav (black metal) bands are Immortal, Dissection, Darkthrone and Burzum (and Mayhem, of course. Blasphemer era in general and "Grand Declaration of War" in particular are brilliant). But I also love Venom (the first two albums) and Bathory (Viking era a little more than black, although the first album is a masterpiece). Idk, either you guys aren't as old as you think, or I'm not as young internally as I am externally)

Deathspell Omega is my fav! You should do a pt. 2

I don't know a lot when it comes to the music itself in black metal but I know about Emit and I love how you just let it speak for itself 😂

Mgla- you are a drummer. Also, super cool to see Imperial Triumphant on here. Just found them about a month or two ago and have been impressed with how different they sound.

Blasphemy / Archgoat: You are overweight and bald but you wear sick sunglasses, also you don't know any other colours aside from black, white and red.

My favourite subgenre of Black metal will always be DSBM, and my favourite dsbm bands are Woods of Desolation and Kultura Kurenija. Somehow I never got into regular Black metal, with the exception of Burzum and Behemoth, but I like it when other genres are fused with Black, like blackened death and blackened deathcore

For me when it comes to BM my favorite bands are Emperor, Blasphemy, Dissection and sacramentum. As honorable mentions id even say Dimmu borgir, Satyricon and abigor have those melodic even bewitching and powerful riffs and blast beats i really enjoy. And of course there’s tons of different bands that made brilliant albums. (And very rough ones) Not the biggest BM listener but i love the atmospheric instrumentals even raw expressed vocals. It’s super fire. And also cold. Very cold.

Master's Hammer / Root: You probably go on endless tirades online about how black metal wasn't defined by the Norwegian scene and that black metal was an international movement of underground bands inspired strongly by not only first-wave bands such as Venom, Bathory and Hellhammer, but also took stronger inspiration from the riff structures of Mercyful Fate than their Norwegian contemporaries and... oh wait that's me.

I’ve listened to black metal since ‘95 and there’s too many bands to list Satyricon, Dissection, Windir, Sacramentum, Burzum, Summoning, Immortal, Marduk, Enthroned and there’s so many new bands that are awesome. Probably my favourite song “Svartesmeden og lundamyrstrollet" (The Blacksmith and the Troll of Lundamyri") by Windir “Fagning” is another awesome song by them.

I first started listening to cradle of filth in 2001, since then, I am obsessed. I listened to every single album they released plus the rare demos.

Despite my love for Burzum (Unhealthy), Immortal will always be my favorite. Some others that I love are Darkthrone, Nocturnal Depression, and such. But I've never been huge into Mgla. I've tried to get into it but I just don't like it much. Shits still rad though

Dimmu Borgir is me, not a big black metal guy although I do enjoy some of Dimmus early albums. I also love Blackened Deathcore my favorite being Mental Cruelty.

DSBM is truly the very pinnacle though, lets be real.

Either Bathory or Windir. Followed closely by Panopticon and Enslaved.

Darkthrone: you only listen to old school metal from 1970 till 1993 and anything after that is shit. If it's a new band, they must be NWOTHM, retro thrash or late 80 death. Also, no typewriter drums. Lastly....ROCK AND ROLL GAS STATION. YEAAAAH!

I freaking listen to venom Welcome To Hell & Black Metal every Darn Day at work because it increases my dopamine levels, and don’t get me started on Bathory, Bathory and I believe I am old, even though I am 23,. But apart from that I absolutely love Immortal, it’s funny b/c I, do not take myself too seriously, and I believe Frogs have the cutest freaking bellies. So yeah. And well Batushka, is the best album to have intercourse with someone you love and that loves and truly appreciates the combination of religion themed art on a band that it’s singing incorporates the Gregorian and blast beats, and fast tempos. Bro it’s amazing. PLUS Idk man, I can never ever settle for one. It’s impossible

So, I'm clinically insane and bite people? Ha! I honestly didn't think my favorites were on here, until they showed up last... (Abruptum and Les Legions Noires, have everything ever released on cd). Havohej is great I'm not a fan of the 1993 album, but their EPs are where the unique stuff is. I also enjoy Stalaggh, not black metal, but it just further proves your point / assumption!
