How do you deal with the extreme heat in SC? I think heat is a major concern for people who may be interested in moving there, me included. It's the one thing that makes SC less attractive.

Hey Danny, love your channel. My family and I live in the Bay Area but stopped in SCV to get lunch on a road trip and loved it. We stopped at a park and met another nice family, the Dad was an electrician and they could afford a home there. That’s unheard of where we live lol. We were thinking “a nice beautiful place to live where normal people with normal jobs can afford homes” lol. Anyway, we plan to relocate to SVC in a couple years. My question is that I heard 90% of the homes in Valencia of HOA. Do a lot of these prevent you from building in laws in your backyard? If so, which neighborhoods in SCV would be most likely to allow it? Thanks so much for your help and your videos.

Hey David, I’m so glad that you had a good experience here! HOA’s here are restrictive but it is possible if you have the land. I see that being possible in Canyon Country and some parts of Saugus. If you’re set on Valencia, I’m sure that we can find some thing, but it would take a little bit of time.

People from DTLA, Palmdale, the Valley and other greater cities in Los Angeles need to stay away. Y’all are really starting to give us a bad image.

There are homeless here, don't mislead people. 2 years ago it was est. 220 homeless, that number has to have grown in the past 2 years. Santa Clarita residents who were classified as “unsheltered,” an estimated 66 were on the street, 16% were in their cars, 15% in RVs or campers, 13% were in their tents, 11% in vans and nearly 9% in makeshift shelters.

I appreciate the input. In my mind I was comparing it to the San Fernando Valley and other areas in Los Angeles county. Comparatively it is much better but I completely understand where you’re coming from, it is an issue in California and it has been growing year over here. That’s why a lot of my clients have been moving to a different state like Texas, Idaho, Arizona, and Tennessee.

Apartments.com has been reliable. Avoid Zillow, we’ve seen scams out of there.

That is a great question! Call you. The canyons is big in the community. They have a variety of different degrees certificates and trades that they offer. Other than that there is a smaller arts school in Valencia as well.

I’m Latino, I live in Stevenson ranch I have family in every neighborhood. No issues with racism. My experience and theirs of course. Personally I’ve had those issues in the San Fernando valley (not the decent areas).

@@ggchamp1568 yes, you have multiple low down payment programs available to you. Because it is your first home, I think it’s important for us to get a plan together to make sure that we have everything in place so when the time comes, we are able to execute efficiently.
